Where have you read about 150 cap ?

Read that link: I am not speculating, I live in Nova Scotia and I just called the Office.My friend asked me about it so I asked about it:
And yes it's for 150 people for this stream aside from Family Business Program Stream and Skilled-Work Stream:
So, Goodluck guys!!! It's a lottery draw but I think they have to choose those applicants who really have strong ties to the Province and wanted to settle down here permanently!

I only mention Accountant in inteded occupation not noc number.

i didnt mention the noc but i wrote financial auditors & accountants whole

Hi,

I live in Nova Scotia and I have a friend who wanted to apply, so I called the office of NSNP and I was told about 150 nomination for this stream... Since Federal has some caps for how many people should be granted a nominee per Province. There are many people here who applied for skilled work (they have full-time Permanent Position) they are Foreign Worker.

So, If you want to apply, you have to submit it ASAP...they might closed the Program anytime soon! Not speculating, Its from the Officers that I talked to here!

For all.. this stream is new and they only have 150 slots for this year!

They have another program too like Family Business Stream and Skilled-Work Stream (with Full-time Permanent Position.

They only allow 700 nomination per year to all of this Streams( Regulated by Federal)

So, hurry up and send your application!!! It will be closed anytime soon, they have reached 100 application since March 10, 2014.

But i am just wondering and not doubting the NS resident. But the information which they are able to give on the phone, why arent they able to publish it on their website ? Is it worth thinking ?

There are codes as per occupation
2171 . 2173 are IT professional occupations.. There are other codes check on official NS immi site

It's Province to Province regulation mate! It's like a Customer Service if you want to ask for inquiry.

Thats the point Carla. If its public information, then why not publish it to the public on their website instead of giving ''False Hopes'' to a hoard of applicants

Not false hopes! You have to try to apply for it since they will choose the right people for this nomination. They have to choose the right person with good qualification, experience, person who wants to settled in the province permanently and can contribute in the Province...

It's your chance to have a better life in the Province. It's a fact that each Province has it's own Caps per year (700 nominations/year). So, if u want to apply, you must have a strong application, and convince the officer that you are the right candidate to be nominated...

I have already applied and my application has reached on 6th. Just trying to help and get an understanding for the sake of other applicants

Goodluck! I hope you will get the result sometime in few months! I am not even discouraging someone here on this forum, I'm stating the fact.

No, not really. Goodluck and hope for the best! anyways, we need more IT's in the Province since they are opening a new Branch for IBM and some Computer Company from the US. As for nursing jobs, it's tough...The qualifications, language exams, assessment exams, and bridge Program for Canadian equivalent Education takes time...So, just beware, it's been tough for International Nurses to get qualified here. It takes time, money and effort and more effort! I'm one of them but it's worth it in the end!
