Guys, please let me know your oppinion regarding this thing. I am preparing my file for FSW, and I wonder if should I specify that I've applied to NSNP or not.

On the other hand, my application was received on the 2'nd of April. Do I still have a chance ? I've seen that article that the cap was raised to 600 ... is it true ?

It's better to disclose voluntarily or if they find out will have some consequences on the other application you are going to make :'(
so better be honest in your deeds , that;s my view point

Actually I got to know that they want to advertise more (actually required) nominations but..........1. Judging the mood of the local population toward immigrants......
2. Ongoing strikes in Halifax against the govt. policies......
they feel a cap of 150 is ok....
But they are dying for immigration and thats reality......so to change the demeanour of locals towards immigrants they are spreading these news which we come across almost daily in The Chronicle Herald............
The Federal govt. is already eager for raising the cap, its just finding the way to give its consent openly......because it might raise anger in the locals and they may shed this on the innocent immigrants instead of govt. in one way or the other.......
So govt. is very cautious as any negative feedback from immigrants may further harm their immigration process.......

Hi Guys
I think there is no scope for those who applied in April, They are not making any pool of pre-screening mails NOC wise to choose best, if anybody fit in their assessment criteria they will nominate him/her immediately.

Don;t loose hope mate , We will get it...keep the faith

You could prepare your file for FSW as there is officially 150 nominations till now......
And it doesn't matter you mention or not about NSNP as you have a genuine intention to visit Canada.......So feel free to apply.......but if NS immi. office come to know about your application as FSW.......they might change their decision.......

It depends, if he still choose Nova Scotia as his destination, they would rather nominate him (lol) From experience, i know that CIC does not send list of people who pick a particular province to the province. So many people via FSW fill province A and land in province B. All that matters is you having a valid PR papers

Yes you are very true......if you are applying via FSW and still choosing NS as your destination province, your case is actually going to be stronger......I have also meant the same in my previous post......only I haven't mentioned this point.....so thanks for the addition Hisaca......

Thats why I advised him to prepare his file for FSW my dear........I am not telling him to quit the idea......I am suggesting that if u r filing via FSW just select NS as your first preference, which will in turn strengthen his case.....

I just want to mention that the obtaining a Nomination letter is just the first step.
You then should apply with it to CIC for PR. So it is not apparent that you can get PR faster with Nomination letter.

Back here after log, seem some of us already get received acknowledgement mail from the immigration authority of NS. Can any one please let us know from which email address you received the reply so that we may include it address book otherwise the mail may be dropped in spam/Junk box.

I have been little busy because I got married sometime back otherwise I like to be active here .
1 .I have not applied to cic yet ..because i wanna know how i should add my wife in the application.
2.They have mentioned 6 months .
3.new cic forms from the website .
