SURPRISE SURPRISE GUYS

How many of the forum members have recently visited the FAQs of Nova Scotia Immigration Official Website. I just did and i have noticed the following changes:

For following Question

Q: I hear there's a cap. Have you reached it yet?

A: The NSOI has received a large number of applications for the Regional Labour Market Demand stream. We will only be nominating 150 in total this calendar year. Please take this into consideration when determining whether you wish to apply to the RLMD.

They have added the following line: We will be updating the website as we progress toward meeting the 150 cap.

The previously posted question "What if i don't make it to 150" and its answer "You will be given the option of withdraw or queuing up for next year" has been replaced by the following question and Answer

Q: What will happen to my application after you reach 150?

A: There has been very high interest in the RMLD. Once we have identified the 150 nominations, people will be contacted as to next steps.

And guess what, the third change is the most striking one. They previously said they would accept "Academic Module" of IELTS as well, but now look at the following which is presently posted in FAQs:

Q: Do I need to take the IELTS General test if I've already passed the IELTS Academic?

A: Yes. If you are using the IELTS as proof of language, it must the IELTS General. CIC does not accept IELTS Academic when processing applications for permanent residency.

All forum members are invited for their valuable inputs on the above.

Regarding the proof of language, the General Ielts is required for the next step after nomination - CIC.

In this step, the Academic Ielts will do just fine. Also they are open to other ways of proving your english level.

I am very curious to see on the website how the cap filling will evolve.

Is someone having Acadamic Module should he send this Or rewrite IELTS exam in General Module.

Totally agree with you about IELTS

The cap filling issue, this for me give you a clue that they are going to take their time to pick the best guys for each NOC.

I think your client has completed eligibility criteria and review of completed package.

eligibility requirements, your application may be returned.

B. Assessment

The Office of Immigration will conduct a full review and evaluation of
your complete application.
The Office of Immigration will advise you in writing if an in - person interview is required. If they are requested, the exploratory visit and in - person interview are
mandatory before the assessment of the application will be completed

actually i am not sure if the case number is the same as file number ... the letter says "this is to confirm that your application has reached the assessment stage....."

They must mention in FAQ that, only LUCK guys will be nominated, rest application will be store in the BANK Locker

Asked about efforts to increase the province’s cap on nominees, Diab said “there’s going to be some good things coming.”

What does that supposed to mean?

ahh did you notice that, probably next year they are going to increase the cap, but remember this is in total, not specifically to non job offers.

cic allow them only 700 nominations this year to NS, they are looking forward 250 more.

This might be a sign of cap increase in RLMD...

One more thing, as per that link they received about 600 applications in March 2014, means less chances for people who applied in April.

But they also mentioned staff is separating applications based on which ones deserve the most attention, It mean they will choose best not first come first.

I submitted my appl which means I have a good chance just like everyone else and that's something that I am happy about..

I suggest everyone not to take it so seriously....Take your chill pill, sit back and watch how the events unfold...If it's yours, you will get the nomination... ;D ;D

chill pill !, I needed to do some research in the internet to find out the expression !, good one, if I don't get nomination at least i am going to improve my English !
