2013"in process" applications

I believe all "in process" applications Jan to Mar 2013 are at CPP-O. Was wondering if anybody from Feb or Mar 2013 ordered GCMS notes?

I have ordered gcms notes. Should receive them in a couple of weeks. But my status is "app received". I know that waiting84, who is a Jan 2013 applicant received his notes and it stated eligibility as passed. His status was in process. Once I receive my notes, we will know whether Sydney is assessing eligibility of some or all applicants.

Jan 2013 "in process" applicant got MR on June 8. Looks like a good sign for all 2013 in process applicants!

This whole process is so random its unbelievable!! Congratulations to all those who have had early put into process of application. But how comes not everyone gets this? It's just your usual Canadian randomness I suppose. Pick a ticket out of a hat or something like that

Although it may seem random - their will be a reason. I suspect that 2013 apps that are in process can expect faster processing

Yes JSM I understand, but to me randomness means totally unprofessional!. It’s the luck of the draw, quite simply its the VO. This is what it is!, the in process applicants probably have senior VO's which is totally unfair to everyone else who has a slow newbie!.
And it’s not down to NOC people! Forget that myth, skilled CEC is skilled, period nothing to do with NOC

I understand your frustration but I'm sure it's more than the VO's seniority. The applications that have been put into process have actually been reviewed by a support working who works under an officer that would review the applicants eligibility normally - so their is some other factor that is causing these applications to be processed faster.

Irrespective, the overall processing times are looking good for everyone!

- When does your work permit expire?
- What is your NOC? Is it on the new list of required NOC's in Canada?
- Length of employment within Canada?
- Do you have dependants?
- Are you a single applicant? Common-law?


It could be for numerous reasons! I'm not suggesting I know why, I'm just saying their is likely a reason!

Single applicant, work permit expires September next year NOC 621 but that don't mean nothing, NOC doesn't have affect. My friend applied FSW last august. He is a vehicle technician who IS on the top NOC list, he still hasn't MED request. So what does that mean?

When last year? The noc list only changed a couple
Of months ago?

If it was based on work permit expiry your application doesn't need to be rushed as 11-12 months is no issue for you.

I don't know why you are being so closed minded and snippy! It may make you feel better to think that it is that random but I doubt it very much.

Yes I am frustrated not just for me but for the other fellow applicants!. I don't think work permit expiry has anything to do with it, I really don't think that's their mind set. We will agree to disagree but I still think it’s the VO, no different to when you go to Niagara. I went to get my work permit there last year. Thought it would be interesting to see what I’d be dealing with, all the VO's were different. Yes I know your probably gonna say there border control officers and there different to that of the VO's that process our applications, but I don't think so. On that day, there were newbie’s and seniors. I was lucky that time round and was in and out very quick. This guy next to me had the slowest officer ever, it had nothing to do with any questions asked, and the officer was just slow and looked flustered. Quite sure it’s no different if not worse at the main office, NS or Ottawa or wear ever
