2013"in process" applications

I think if one of you guys can order GCMS notes, it might give a clearer picture of what might be happening at Sydney.

I'll order mine too to see if there was any eligibility check before it went to CPP-O, or whether Ottawa is going to do those like pre-Jan 2013 applications.

On 15th-Apr, I sent an email to CIP-Sydney asking about Visa Office assigned to me. I got following reply today

Please be advised your application has been forwarded to the VO Ottawa.

Their email address is:
OttPilot-immigration @ cic.gc.ca

This proves that InProcess applicants are also going to CPP-Ottawa for processing. So there is no difference between application-received and in-process status from the applicant's point of view

Ok looking at yours and Godzilla's updates, things are clearing up now.

Just received automated response saying: We have received your email sent to the Case Processing Pilot – Ottawa (“CPP-O”) and will respond to it shortly.

what this implies is that my file, which has been forwarded to CPP-O, has passed the eligibility phase, which I dont think is accurate. Referring of course to "...> Eligibility check at CIO (preliminary evaluation on IELTS score, 12 months work exp, temp resident status)> If everything in order file transfer to CPP-O>...".

its more likely to be ... > Preliminary review/completeness check > Full eligibility evaluation/VO decision > Medical > Security check (criminality is PCCs/RCMP if needed) > PR. this is more in line with actual processing so far. but, I see your point with CIO...I cant quite place their role with eligibility.

what do you guys think? seniors?

Hi Guys

I still have not heard back from Ottawa/ Sydney (reply to my e-mail query) regarding where my file is, so I called CIC and after keeping me on a long hold (and at first really reluctant) the nice lady told me :my file is in Ottawa now. She wouldn't tell when it came to Ottawa. Nonetheless "in process" applications have started reaching Ottawa now.... 8)

Other day when I called, the other lady had told me that they don't have info/ supposed to tell the status and location of CEC-PR applications, but here in forum I saw that many people got this info from CIC call centre...weird.

I believe all "in process" applications Jan to Mar 2013 are at CPP-O. Was wondering if anybody from Feb or Mar 2013 ordered GCMS notes?
