been a month now waiting for Quebec to send the CSQ will be glad when all this is over and done with
Well I guess it is a matter of days now, MICC are usually fast; on the other hand CIC is now on steroids and seems to be processing 2012 cases very fast... :)

Hello! Today we received an email from CIC say "You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor..." But it didn't mention anything about the Quebec step. Is it normal? Should we just go ahead and mail the Quebec forms? Thanks!
Hello, difficult to tell since we don't have a clue of your timeline so far.
You applied inland from province of Quebec and told them you would be living in province of Quebec ?
Based on our experience, I the sponsor received a letter from CIC in the mail telling me I had met their requirements AND they invited me to continue the undertaking with MICC (Ministère de l'immigration et des communautés Culturelles).
The thing is MICC require a copy of that letter with the undertaking form in order to deliver a CSQ.
Here is the website you can get more infos:
http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/forms/search-title/undertaking-application/index.html

congrats everyone!

We have received AIP today! now hope stage 2 will not take too long...

I am applying from the US, and my husband lives in Montreal right now...
Before receiving the CIC letter, did you receive an email from them saying you met the requirements for being a sponsor? Thanks!

Congratulations, I am still impressed with how fast 2012ers get their AIP (some even landed ;) )

In my case I received a letter only, no email regarding the sponsorship.
Well if you applied from US you are applying "outland"; here it is an inland thread. I guess experience from inlanders here won't be of much help.
Maybe there is a thread for Outlanders dealing specifically for futurs Quebecers, I would not want to mislead you.
Usually outland applications are treated faster but they might have different steps.

If you applied Outland, which it seems is the case then we can't be of much help to you since we ALL applied inland, meaning our process is different than yours. That said, you're still supposed to wait for them (CIC) to send you a letter to continue the process with Quebec. Like Vinlander said, MICC requests that you send them that letter.

Good luck

hi all! just when i thought i needed to wait for 2 more months, but I checked my ecas, it says medical has been received and at around 4:30pm today i got this email from cic:

This letter refers to your application for permanent residence under the spouse or common-law
partner in Canada class.

We are pleased to advise you that processing of your application has been completed. The
Canada Immigration Centre in Montreal will contact you concerning your permanent resident
status.

The Right of Permanent Residence Fee of $490 is required before you can become a
permanent resident in Canada. To date this fee has not been paid and the confirmation
of permanent residence document will not be issued until payment is made. Please be
prepared to submit the total fee of $490. Fees can be in the form of a certified cheque,
money order, credit card (Visa or MasterCard) or online at www.cic.gc.ca. If paid online,
you must print a receipt of payment. Fees must be provided to the Immigration Centre in
Montreal when you are scheduled to obtain your confirmation of permanent residence
document...

I believe this is DM for stage 2! so happy! :D ;D i hope everyone in this forum will share their good news soon!

Congrats!!!!

We have similar timeline and I hope we will received it soon too. We paid in advance the 490$,so I hope that we will save few weeks processing for the payment.
