IMHO co-signing for undertaking is when there are indeed dependants involved and a thus a minimum financial requirement is necessary. As far as I know, there is no minimum wage for the sponsor or anything asked other than NOT to be on Welfare for other reason than health, to fail to meet the financial requirement in Quebec for sponsoring a spouse.blueangel371115 said:I have a question that I was unsure of as some of the paperwork ( in my opinion) was unclear and I really don't want to delay this even a day if I can help it. So I'm trying to clarify. In some of the paperwork through Quebec (MICC) it asked about a common-law/ de facto spouse co-signer for the undertaking, am I correct in assuming that this is for sponsoring other family members (parents, children, etc.)? As I am his common-law spouse, but I am also the person that he is sponsoring. So obviously I can't co-sign on the undertaking, as the undertaking is in reference to me.
That's great news, and it brings us hope. Thank you!!!lyn28 said:hi everybody! my health card application is done! I went today in downtown @ De maisonneuve st. I haven't received my AIP in the mail yet so I printed the one I have from my email. Just a reminder, make sure you bring a proof of addess, in my experience the agent said didn't accept my bank account statement and credit card bill, only house lease with your name on it. Thank God I brought our lease (my husband included me in the lease when we signed it).
The waiting time is 3 months, based from the approval date of AIP. He asked me the birth year of my husband and his name, and also my SIN number. I had a SIN because I was a contract worker before, so if you have a SIN card even if expired bring that too. Also I paid 10.35 for the photo. Just to warn you, when you go to the regie, go early.
Next step for me, take a french course while waiting for the second stage and since my baby goes to daycare already. I know it will take few more months to wait since I just had my medical exam on AUgust 31, 2012.
