I just remembered that you had said that you hadn't submitted your medical exam when you sent your application because you were pregnant. Since it's almost your time, well your sponsor's time for AIP, I think that you can start thinking of getting the medical done ASAP to avoid any delays once your sponsor is approved. That way, when it's time for the CIC to evaluate the principal applicant (you), they'll have all the documents in order, rather than waiting for them to request them and extending the processing time.

I'm not 100% sure about how this works but I'm pretty sure that you can get them done now and the doctor's office will send them directly to Vegreville with your UCI...

Anyway, think about it :)
@ perkele, thank you very much, I will take your advice, i will have it done by september. will let you know you all know soon :)

check this link out: http://www.cic.gc.ca/dmp-md/medicalinfo.aspx?CountryID=2042&ProvID=15204&ProvinceName=Quebec&CountryName=Canada

There's four that are on Côte-des-neiges. I'm not sure about the request letter. As far as I know, you don't need one, but you should call them anyway just to confirm that.

My boyfriend went to the one on Ste-Catherine Ouest and from what I remember, they didn't ask for anything really, except which office was doing the process.

I concur with what you said Perkele. My husband had his exam done at a clinic on Sherbrooke Street in our area, and all they asked was the name of the office to send the results to.

We went to Centre médical La Plaza,
6700 De la Côte-Des Neiges Suite 125,
Quebec,
H3S 2B2
514-342-2941

Opened on Sunday for immigration examinations, quite straight forward and hassle free.
We were with doctor Yankova.
We just brought our original letter from CIC featuring our customer ID

Some people (like us) do not have a letter from CIC featuring their customer ID.

We got the AOR letter about 3 months after the file was received by CIC.
Reading your infos you applied in May so you might get it soon.
Also I saw you mentionned
"LANDED..........: 05-04-2012 "
I guess you meant when you moved to Canada, but usually on the forum that field refers to the landing date at the local CIC office after 2nd stage approved.

I sure hope so! Will that letter provide us with a customer ID?

That's great news, Perkele.
I do check my email every day, and also my spam in case it falls in the wrong path.

Yeah same here!

Now that I think about it. I'm not sure when you get the applicant's UCI. (The sponsor's UCI number comes in both the AOR email and the letter to continue with the MICC).

We already had both UCIs before sending the application so it didn't really matter for us, but I was just looking through all the documents and I can't find anything where the CIC gives you the sponsored person's UCI... maybe it's only later in the process since technically the applicant doesn't get "evaluated" until later on in the process...

I looked back on our papers and what happened in our case is: I (the sponsor) received the AOR by email about 3 months after application was sent in which only my sponsor UCI was showing up.
The following day in the mailbox, my wife received a letter from CIC concerning her application for permanent residency asking for additional background informations (formulaire de mise à jour smgc); she got her UCI in that letter. My UCI was not showing up in the letter but we shared of course the same file number starting by F .
Important to note I could never manage to actually log into the CIC ECAS website with our invoice number, I could only using my UCI once I got it where I can see the sponsorship and permanent residency status.
Using her UCI as the sponsored on ECAS, we have only access to the permanent residency status.
Both are still only showing application received by the way...

That website is such a mess anyway. :-[

I used to work in IT until recently, and I do not understand what someone's thinking was in creating a web page where they ask you to enter so much information to get a response.
If you enter an invoice number or a UCI, why would you need to also enter your name, country of origin, and birth year? It is just creating a situation where someone can write the wrong thing and get nowhere. :-[

The whole thing is sooo frustrating, that just thinking about it raises my blood pressure.

I did not know that! ???
Why is it called a "landing date" ???
We are kept hostage here until my husband's PR is processed, so there is no "landing" coming! :'(

Yeah it sounds weird, but it makes more sense from the applying outland perspective...people actually land when they are done with the process because they must still reside in their origin country until the end of the process which of cours shorter anyway...
For us Inlanders that just refers to when we have the final interview at the office and they tell us : "welcome to Canada" even if you have been patiently waiting for more than 1 year in many cases ...
