Hi Guys..

I applied for my parents sponsorship in May 2011 and didn't receive any email for additional documents, so I called CIC today and they told me they had sent the email to my old email address which i checked but i did received any.. (May be they send it to domain.com instead of domain.ca of my email address)

I requested CIC to update my email address to gmail one and they said will take 5 business days.

My question is.... Will they send me another email request to the updated gmail email address or i have to wait for the 90 days to be over and then they will send me the request as a second reminder?

Can anyone please advise me... on how to handle this??

You may want to call them to ask what you shall do..as you haven't received anything due to email issue. You cant just wait...

Did you apply in Feb 2011. If so have you received sponsorship approval yet and file transfer to LVO.

We applied in April 2011 and got sponsorship approval in Jan this year then nothing further, just waiting.

No!! Though we applied in Jan/Feb 2011. the sponsorship hasn't been approved yet. I called CIC call center a couple weeks ago. They said the file is in queue for review. They will send a message to me once the file being reviewed.

I have two questions:
1. When in 2011 we have submitted file for our parents, my brother deposited $ 1100 fee at that time, but don't remember what type of fee was that. There is nothing written on the receipt as well. So, we are not sure that Do we need to submit this Right of Landing fee asked in additional docs request or not? Is this something different from that fee?
2. My brother is sponsor and he was having one kid in 2011 and then in 2012 he was blessed with one more child. but CIC has asked just for Option C of 2010 and 2011, so do we need to give other option C of next years or not. we have not notified yet to cic about this increase in family size. Do we need to disclose it or not and if yes, do we need to send all other years Option C.

You need to tell them about new baby. They will ask for more information if they need. It should be fine but they may ask finance documents again.

Good Movement guys.

Applied for Parents in June 2011.

Received email to send additional docs in July 2015. Docs sent August 2015.

Waiting for next steps. Everybody keep on updating as things move

you will get AOR from cic for step 1 and then cic let you know, when they make a decision regarding your application, which is usually sponsorhip approval, then the first step 1 is complete and cic forward you application to visa office for further processing that is step 2.
