Hi. am4uster

so sorry to hear about the status of your application can you please tell us

little bit more about your case history, did you land in this country as a professional

status ??? did your PR expire or not renew at any time ??? Any legal case pending

with you ??? these are things which may suspend your application strongly suggest

you may take all the papers to good lawyer who may help you and resolve your

issue.

Hey Janoo
My time line.
Applied: Sep2012
In process: Feb 2013
RQ received: April 2013
RQ sent: May 2013
Received a letter to prepare for a test on Jan 2014... May be that is generic letter i have received there is no test date..

In between May mid 2014 i have also applied for PR Renewal i have received my PR renewal without any problem.

I landed in canada in Sep 2008 as Skilled Worker on PR basis
I have no criminal records neither in my home country nor in canada, i am doing a very decent professional job in canada.

I don't know what really happening with my application.. It said Suspend-IMM Case Status: On Hold however this is in my ATIP notes.

My Ecas is now changed.. It is still that same... We have started processing your application on Feb 1 2013..

You are very true i have to consult any good lawyer in this matter.. do you know anyone in GTA area who are specialized in this matter

I was wondering at what point do CIC request security check (CSIS). I know they request FOSS and RCMP more than once, but I think CSIS is requested only once toward the end of the review. I wonder if it is requested to all cases as a final step, or only for approved cases? I have noticed in my last ATIP from May that the CSIS activity was wiped out (unlike previous ATIPs where you could see the activity without data). I suspect this means they are requesting the security check. Decision is still pending though. I was wondering if this indicates anything. Anyone?

csis clearance is not covered under access to information, so its correctly left blank, its the same in my case as well, the only thing visible is that it has been requested, no information is available when it was requested, when it will be updated or whatever.

I gathered that, but the difference between my May ATIP and the ATIPs before is that the activity was there with all the information left blank in the older ATIPs. However, in the May ATIP it is completely wiped out except for the title (CSIS) and my name. I suspect this means that it is now being ordered (or received). I was wondering if anybody knows at what stage it is ordered (after approval or once the file is ready for decision).

What can I ask on that 'specific case inquiry'?

Can I ask why my case is taking so long? or what´s the new update of my case?

Because I also need to update my email address with them
thanks

Just briefly explain your case status, when you applied, what response to date you
have and the processing time expire and no up date on e cas etc..

Any more news for 2011-2012 application look CIC on vacation...

I had a hearing with the citizenship judge june 15th but couldn't make it as I am back home and my pr card expired. I applied for a travel document but got turned down. I applied a second time showing the notice to appear and still they refused to give me a travel document. I sent a letter to postpone the hearing but they abandoned my application. Is there anything I can do to re-open my file?

I am sorry to know that. I think you were not given the travel document because you might have not met the residency obligations (staying in Canada for 2 years out of 5 years).
Do you think you met your residency obligations?

Hi. Marie

Where are you now ? if you are in Canada apply for PR card renewal after
securing the renewal re apply if you meet the resident requirement otherwise

wait... also call CIC and explain the reason for not attending the hearing may be

they re schedule.

wish you a best of luck.
