how long it take to passport request after additional doc's request ??
share your experience

Thanks,Kabir!

We were not requested for additional documents but there was additional medical exam for my mom. She had sputum test and xray after 2 months from sputum. The last xray was done on Aug. 24, 2015 and i received the passport request on Sept. 30, 2015, five weeks from last xray.

You can also check the spreadsheet for the timelines.

Looks like there is good news coming for everyone!!

I got the request to submit passports for my parents on Sept 30 and send via VFS to new Delhi. The medicals were done on July 9th.

Congratulation to everyone whose file have moved ahead.

Everyone still waiting - praying g for your movement too. Looking like all the visa office are moving now, so your turn is nor far away.

Congrats, Chotis! Happy to see another member of this batch received passport request. Hope to see more movements for this batch.

Just found out from physician that CIC is waiting for additional chest tests via chest specialist. I was not asked and did not receive any email requesting additional tests. My mom did her medical in June in Canada and now she is in Pak. How would I get the tests done? Anyone ever be in same boat. How would we know which tests and what exactly need to be done when we have not rec'd any correspondence explaining what is required?

If your visa office is Ottawa, then why did your parents sent their passport to ND. Are they in India. do you have dependant and did they ask any additional doucments.

When it says:

We started processing your application on March 16, 2015.

Any ideas what this means.. is it considered a file transfer or just a queue ?

please advise.

It's a good sign. they will ask following docs in future:

1) medical or remedical
2) updated docs and police certificate or may b proof of relationship again
3) after medical received, n if all updated docs received by them n no issue found then they will ask for current copies of passports
4) request for original passport submission

Hopefully, this process now will not take more than 4-5 months... keep chk ur email on regular basis.

Good luck!

Hi, Coming back on this forum after almost 2-3 years. This forum helped me a lot during my spousal application. I need some help again with my mother's application.

I applied in March 2011 to sponsor my mom. I received addition doc request in 2013. My mom is on a visitor visa with me and OTTAWA is our visa office instead of new delhi. Few days ago, I received a letter saying that my application has been forwarded to OTTAWA and they have requested an Upfront Medical Exam. Is this the same kind of exam that other people get during their application process? Should I expect that they will request my mother's passport soon?

Thanks

Congrats, glad to hear you got PP request too :)

I hope all who are waiting hear from them soon....giving the large number of responses, who knows, maybe some of us will meet on landing :)

I requested and received GCMS notes for the second time. I don't see any updates on the notes.
It still says "referred to secondary review due to family size increase".
Why are they not contacting me for any additional documents?
Are there any other options for me at this point??

Hi guys,

I'm new to this forum & i need of your help badly

My sister received a letter from canadian immigration indicating that she met the eligibility as a sponsor & that our file was transferred to colombo. Further it says the requirement for medical exams but thats all. There were no forms for medical or the list of panel doctors.

Is this the medical request or do we have to wait until our lvo contact us for the medical

our letter was dated on 15 th of sep. But received it today only. So this is a bit urgent.

the letter further states that the med should be forwarded witn the letter to the lvo.

please advice
