Hello everyone,

I just received an email from LVO Manila informing me to pay the RPRF (Right of Permanent Residence Fee).
I always thought that I have paid everything in full when I paid the first time I sent the application in 2010.

Please let me know if there are others here who have paid the RPRF together with the processing fee. Or I'm wrong and I really
need to make another payment? please shed me some light, please.

here's the excerpt of the email I received from LVO - Manila:

September 4, 2015

Dear Applicant,

This refers to your application as member of the family class.
Subsection 16(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act establishes that a person who makes an application must answer truthfully all questions put to them for the purpose of the examination and must produce all relevant evidence and documents that the officer reasonably requires.

Please provide us the following documents which are required to continue the processing of your application:

Ø Payment of Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) FOR YOURSELF AND YOUR SPOUSE to our office in Mississauga by your sponsor in Canada, if not already paid. Please provide a photocopy of your receipt. For more information, your sponsor should consult this link: www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/index.asp.

Ø If you have a representative, you must fill out the attached form and email the signed scanned copy back to us.

To ensure the timely processing of your application, the document(s) and information we have requested must be provided to us within THIRTY (30) days of the date of this letter.

I don't recall an option to pay RPRF during sponsorship application on 2010, only processing fees were paid. It was last year 2014 when they started processing the applic and requested for additional documents and recommended (not yet required) payment of RPRF. For my dad, we paid last year when we submitted the additional docs. See excerpt of last's years instruction:

"Right of Permanent Residence Fee
We strongly recommend that you pay and submit proof of payment of the Right of Permanent Residence Fee with the complete application. By doing so, it will reduce the processing time of the application. For further information on how to make a payment, please visit the Pay the Fee section in our instruction guide:"

Hello,

My parents got their visa...all the best to the rest of you. Good luck

Hi picky. Reading from the above, you only need to provide copy of the police certificate ("photocopies rather than the original documents unless otherwise specified"). Even the certified translation (if applicable) was not specified original, so copy for that as well. Just double check if no original was mentioned anywhere else in the letter.

Hi. If you have sent all docs required, then there's no reason to worry. Just be patient and PPR will come soon. Some members here I noticed in the past also had DM prior to PPR.
