Hi
I was wondering why they asked DNA test before medical request, Can everyone tell me about this situation ?
Thank you

Hi all

we have done medical on 18 june 2015 and ecas status was changed to medical recieved in the first week of july. We have also sent additional documents (like original birth certificates, pcc's etc etc) on 10 july 2015 but after that we did not get any update. Our processing of docs did not started yet :-[ . Anyone in the same situation here or have any information please share?

Hi Everyone,

I had an inquiry through my MP and found out my file is for second review. What is mean by second review? How long does it takes for second review?
Does any body had the same situation? Below is my timeline;

Applied in june 2010
Additional documents July 2014
AOR December 2014
Nothing after that.

Please share your views on the second review ( why , how long). Is there anyone with the same situation

Visa officers sometimes are not satisfied with the relationship then they do ask for DNA tests.

Our file is also under secondary review due to increased family size. We called cic and they said they don't have any time frame when the review will be done. The officers will contact us if necessary.

But they did not tell me why my file is for secondary review. Did you find by inquiry or by just calling CIC and thy told you about increased size.

have you considered ordering your gcms notes. only costs $5 and can be useful to read any notes on the file written by the officer dealing with your file.

Hi Soonihope,

Same situation here i got my sponsorship approval in March 2015 but after that nothing,my file was transferred to Sri lanka and nothing has come from them, very very worried,I don't know what to do.

I found the reason for secondary review in the GCMS notes.
If you order them, it will take exactly 30 days to receive them. But worthwhile!

Hi all,

i am new to this forum. We put in an application to sponsor my mom in August 2010. in december 2014, we received a request for new photographs. We have not had a response since then. Can anyone tell me what timeline we can expect? Is there any value in trying to contact the CIC to find out where the application is? i requested the CAIPS notes, but there is very little information there as well?

Hello everyone. Iam new here. My parents did there medical the other day. The panel doctor said to my father to go to a cardiologist for opinion. Now we found out that he has asymptomatic heart problem n the doctor prescribed some medicine after investigations. Im really worried now. Will the visa office reject now or what?!

Hi seddiq. Did the cardiologist require further tests? If he was only prescribed medication, it may not sound serious, as long as your dad is stable. I honestly don't know what asymptomatic heart problem is, but what I can share with you is that my dad was also required to see a cardiologist since my dad is taking certain medications such as warfarin and requires regular blood work (inr). He was then asked to undergo additional test like Stress Echo and Holter monitor. Cardiologist Findings were my dad had previous mild heart attack in the past (which my dad didn't notice), also said he has atrial fibrillation and equivocal ischemia and he's current state is stable. Even with those findings, my dad got issued with visa. Hopefully your dad will have similar positive result.
All the best in your application.
