My mother received a letter saying

Ms. XXXXXXX

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada.

Please be advised that in order to continue the processing of your application, you are requested to:

- provide original police certificates (only photocopy and translation on file)

what does it mean? provide original police certificates (only photocopy and translation on file)[/color]

do they ask for new police certificate or the one that we sent it back in sept 2014?
Any advice? thank you

HELP!

Just received PPR today for my parents. In the letter it says, 
Submit 3 passport-sized photographs for yourself and each accompanying dependant
but it doesn't say what kind of requirement it needs to follow.

Should i use the PR card requirement or citizenship requirement since the measurements are different.

Also, it says:
Submit Original Passport/Travel Document: Valid passport or travel documents for yourself and your accompanying dependants. If you and/or your dependents hold a Taiwan or Hong Kong SAR passport, or your passport otherwise exempts you from obtaining a visa to visit Canada (see: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/visas.as p#exemptions), send a PDF copy of your visa-exempt passports (all pages) to the visa office: Hong Kong. All passports must be submitted together.

Does it mean i only need to submit photocopies of their passports since HK is a visa exempted country? (I am unsure why they said PDF copy instead of photocopies)

Hi Lakha, My parents timeline is very similar to yours. Their medical was done on June 15 and Ecas was changed to medical recieved on June 23 and haven't heard anything after that. It doesn't say anything about "in process" yet. I am hoping for ppr request soon.

they asking for passport sized photographs. I think in that case size of Canadian passport which you can find on the website below

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/passport/apply/photos.asp

PDF copies if you were sending them by email and photocopies if by regular mail I am not sure how you are going to do it and how they are asking you to do that...
did they specified how they want to receive it?

They cannot be reach by phone, and the online portal for inquiry takes a few weeks to get a reply. I have no way to ask questions.

Last time i called them regards question to PCC, they told me i have to contact HK directly, they do not know anything.

But I will try to call them tomorrow, but does anyone knows the photo they are requesting, is that passport photo or PR card photo? I know the requirements are different.

but in my case my Ecas did not show up that they receive the medical. is that ok. that is the reason I asked from xebro because on pgp sheet it also did not show up that his ecas is updated. I also e-mail a case specific inquiry to delhi a week ago but I did not get any reply yet. did NDVO ans back and if yes, then in how many days they will be ans me back. anybody who has a experience in this, please reply. Thanks

My parents medical was submitted June 29 and the ecas showed medical received on July 20th. I don't see In Process status on ecase. Hopefully we'll get passport request this month.

Hi Lakha ji
Ecase is weekly updated on every Tuesday

Hell,
Since there is no visa for Poland, does it mean that my parents will not have to send their passports to get their visa stamps? How does it work in that case? Is there anyone whose country is visa exempt and went through that situation?

Thank you
