Happy to share the news. My mom received her passport stamped on Jul 9th. She submitted it on Jun 29th.
The visa has validity until next Apr 2016.

Hi Kabir 2015,

Once the AOR is recieved, the sponsorship approval take a few months. please refer to the spreadshee being updated by Jelini, so you can better understand the timelines. after sponsorship approval, the medical takes a few months too.

mostly sponsership approval comes in 45-60 days after AOR but in our cases no sponsership approval after 3 months ...
why are they taking so much time
will we can get an email with sponsership approval , file transfer , and medical request in only one email.
like first generation 's case

. Usually cic send e-mail to your accountant or your lawyer, who filled out your file very first time

My sponsorship approval too long time..
I got AOR in feb 2015 and got approval email in june4
and then my parents got medical req from LV with in 10 days of my email...
so kindof every one is different
I even have dependent in my case

We sent my parents' thru courier & we expect to have it returned the same way. I wonder if we will know when they send it back & are we able to track the transit as well?

We had an experience for passport request from Manila LVO during my son's spousal sponsorship almost end of December 2014 and passport were returned with visa on first wk of March 2015. It specifically stated in the letter that visa will be issued within 90 days. We just waited for that 90 days. But during the waiting time, we keep on checking the ecas status coz it seems that Manila office updates the ecas as DM when they have issued the visa. Almost 3x a day, we check it...lol. Then one day, i saw it as DM, around end of Feb. 2015. After a week, my daughter-in-law received her visa delivered by DHL. Other manila applicants from the forum check with DHL if they have a package from CIC just by giving their names, no tracking number coz you dont have it. Also, normally if your parents live in the province it will take longer to arrive but if it's Metro manila it's just a week from DM.

I am not sure if the procedure are the same but just to give you an idea.

Hi Everyone,

I know that there are a few threads on parents sponsorship on this forum. I am interested to start this thread to see the progress on the applications filed in the year 2010 for the parents sponsorship. My timeline is as below. Please post your timeline and the progress so that we can help each other and do not lose track on the progress, as I have read that a few have not recieved further information on their application progress or did not recieved communication in the past.

This way we can update each other on what is happenning next. I welcome senior members of this forum to comment their views on my situtaion below as that would help all the 2010 applicants in understanding the process and be patient with the process and do the things right and support each other and not panic and spoil their application chances.

On clicking on the details shows below under decision made:

2. We sent you a letter on Oct, 2013 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.


The questions I have for the senior forum members and 2010 fellow applicants are as below:

1. Should I assume that the application is transfered to CPP Ottawa means the application is under process? Is this the same as file transfered or file is transferred from Ottawa to New Delhi later? Please explain the process here and what time line should I expect?

2. I had submitted the Right of landing fee and the PCC along with my application as it was asked if possible to submit all together. Will this help in processing the application or NO? any thoughts?

3. What does it mean in the letter "You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor"? Does it means that the LICO meets the eligibility requirement and all paper work done?

4. It has been 4 months since last correspondance. How long do we have to normally wait for the medical request? Will I get an e-mail for medical test request? As my parents are in India and I am in canada. I have provided an e-mail address for correspondance and canadian address for mailing correspondance. Please suggest your opinion and any experience.

This forum is very helpful in trying to figure out what is going on with the 2010 applications, so here's my story: (sponsoring parents in UK)
1. Application arrived Mississauga CPC May 30th 2010
2. Letter re: receipt of application August 21 2010
3. Letter returning original documents received Dec 10 2010
4. Request for further documents July 30 2014
5. Letter to say I'm in the 'Processing queue' received April 21 2015
Then.......absolutely nothing more.
All communication has been to me the sponsor, nothing to my parents, all by mail. Emails provided have not been used by immigration.
No medical exams requested yet.

I am so frustrated, how many more years????

aor date is 9 dec 2014 and we dud not provide email address the communication is throw regular mail only.
