Hi first_generation,

That's fine. As long as you know that your file is moving, that should be more than ok plus the fact that they replied your email promptly. You'll get to passport request soon. Dont be sad

Yes I hope so too. Thanks for the encouragement.

Hi Nitinbali60
Again thnx for giving detailed information on medical. In my father case cic has written nonEDE medical examination. Do you about this medical term Pl advise as tom we are going for medical in Toronto.

Yes, nonEDE means he is NOT Excessive Demand Exempt. It means if the medical report shows that there is any chronic disease which require lifetime health care, PR will be denied under "Excessive demand on health care clause". Usually Family class (includes spouses, common-law partners, conjugal partners and dependent children) PR Applications go through EDE medical which means they are still allowed PR even if they have any chronic disease.

I believe Visitor, Student, Worker and Supervisa applications fall under nonEDE or maybe a different category but not sure. If they do fall under nonEDE then your supervisa medical should be valid for PR applications.

Best is to be honest with all answers. I don't think any condition which is stable for 4 years will cause any problem. Your father could also go and see his own kidney specialist and get an update of his condition which you could provide the panel doctor when he has the medical examination for PR. This will show that his condition is stable and no cause for concern.
Are you doing upfront medicals or are you waiting for the email.
Good luck.

Hi soonihope,

I was going to send my parents for upfront medical but then I saw movement in CIC ottawa. So I just asked my parents to wait another week or so to see if we get request from CIC. I did some more research online yesterday regarding medical and kidney disease and how cic looks at it. CIC doesnt like any stage chronic kidney disease, they have a special document produced for panel physicians to pay special attention looking out for renal/kidney disorder symptoms while doing physical examination. little doubt and they send you to a specialist for further test. I will post a link to that document, maybe it will be useful to other people in the same boat.

I would like to thank everyone for sharing their medical examination experience and hopefully the few leftover people from the spreadsheet will hear from cic soon.

Regards

While it won't make any difference the the printouts are 1 year old as long as they are original. however if you want then at beginning of July ask for new option c printout for those years and also 2013, 2014 and 2015 in case this years they ask for different years.

last year we were contacted at end of July to submit documents. Also consider police certificates which your parents can get around end of July and you can send these too.

Thanks very much soonihope...

Yes we are in same situation along with Kaitmhia (Jan 9) nitinbali(Jan 28)parentsimm(Feb 26)and you Chotis(Mar 19).
We seem to be the only ones waiting for medicals from Ottawa. Maybe we will all get emails together around the same date.
Keep in touch and post any updates you get. I will do the same.

Hi Soonihope, It looks like there are only few of us left for medical requests. I tried calling the CIC but as expected, they don't have much to say. Hopefully we will hear back soon.

Hi All. Sorry to bother everyone again. I just thought to ask some opinion. This is still in regards to the Appendix A form that my parents and dependents are required to complete & submit.

Now my question with Appendix A is in regards to the "Address where your passport(s) can be returned by courier collect:". Each member of the family is required to fill out the appendix A form. My parents are here in Canada (staying while permitted on repeat extension of TRV), while one of the dependent is in Dubai, while the other two is in the Philippines.

Should we fill it out with their current addresses which means three different locations (Toronto, Dubai, Phils)? Or best to put only one address to avoid possible problem in sorting and reconciling requirements which might just delay the process?

Please share some insight/opinion. Any is appreciated.

Hi First_Generation,

I have similar timeline as yours. I received my AOR dated January 16, 2015 after I submitted the documents last October 16, 2014.
after the AOR in January, I haven't received any letter yet. what should I be receiving next after the AOR?

here's my timeline:
Category........: FAM
Visa Office......: CPC-M
App. Filed.......: October 21, 2010 (Parents +1 dependent)
Doc's Request.: July 30, 2014 (submitted Oct 21, 2014)
AOR Received.: February 15, 2015 (dated Jan 16, 2015)

I have been waiting for more than 4 months since the last AOR.
please advise.

thank you!
