Could you please tell me at what time did you get the passport request email from CIC?

It should be possible to activate at the CIC office in your city. We came to canada as temporary foreign workers and after 6 months my long applied PR application got approved. We didn't have to leave Canada to activate the PR but just booked an appointment at the CIC office in Edmonton by calling the call centre. PR was activated at the CIC office. So same should apply for your mother's PR. But call CIC and confirm as soonihope said.

I don't think so that u can do it. Its only for inland applications not for outland which is a parents application.

Regarding my missing AOR - additional doc sent in Sept 2014, called CIC on Feb 12, 2015 to request the re send of my AOR.

I finally got my AOR 2 days ago, letter dated Feb 12, 2015, and said they have received my additional doc on Sept 28, 2014

e CAS changed today to "Decision Made" under Permanent Residence Tab
"A decision has been made on applicant's application. The office will contact applicant concerning this decision"

Congrats Lalu78! It's good to know someone's moving forward and hopefully soon enough for the rest of us also. Although I'm seeing no SA yet for those who submitted docs in the month of October... Waiting game is killing me, my Dad is already 80 yo and my 3 siblings now 20, 23 & 24... Hope they can all come soon!!!!

Got an email from CIC regarding refund for the fees paid for a dependent getting excluded due to marriage. Does that means that the officer has opened the file and may decide on the sponsership approval very soon?

hello anybody got sponsor approval? its so embrassing they taking so time for aprroval. when they would call for medical..is anybody in previous years 2013 document request got file transffered to ottawa having dependents 2? Cry Cry

Any suggestions, what I can do? I saw somewhere people saying to contact MP. How do you do it? Also suggesting to get access info on my file, did anyone have positive/negative experience with this to expedite the process?

What day in Sept did you submit documents and what date was your AOR received in Dec.

Unfortunately its been a bit slow after a good start in Jan for sponsorship approvals. Very little movement in Feb. Lets hope March is better for everyone.

So Im really worried now . I just checked the status online and it says that the decision has been made and they have send me a letter about the decision on feb 24th.. I put my email address when I submitted all the documents back in sep. I m wondering if anyone has any shed on this ? Thats means its rejected or something

Doc submitted Sep30. Called them on Dec 11, received AOR Dec 18. Cross fingers for all of us hopefulls out there.

Call them, let them check where they sent it? If they have right email ID on your file.

Ok Im taking a deep breath rite now lol.. I just called them and the agent told me that the file is been approved and transferred to New Delhi .Yay!! my address is changed to Canadian addr. Dont know what that's suppose to mean.
