Hi,
I applied for my parents sponsorship in July 2010, received the acknowledgment letter dated on August 5, 2010. I received the letter on July 30, 2014 requesting additional documents. Sent the documents to CIC on Sept 4, 2014 through Xpresspost. I have not received an AOR from CIC yet. I have called CIC call centre on Dec 08, 2014 and they mentioned that they have left a note for Mississauga office to contact me. I am worried if the documents that I sent is lost.

Any of your advise will be very much appreciated.

do you have confirmation from canada post your xpresspost package was delivered. if so then no need to worry. you can track your mail on canada post website and check to see delivery status.

Thank you very much for your prompt response. I appreciate it. Yes, I have got delivery confirmation for my xpresspost package and I found that it was delivered on Sept 4th.

I received a letter yesterday indicating they are processing my app. I sent it in September after receiving the July 30th request.

Check with the courier and make sure it was signed for.

Thanks for your response. I sent the package via Xpresspost of CanadaPost to the P.O box number of CIC. Delivery is made without signature if delivered to a P.O box.

Can any one advise what happens next and how long does it take for the decision?

The next step will be sponsorship approval and file transfer to Ottawa or the local visa office. This will take about two months.

yes My friend who sent document on Au 10 2014, he recieved letter about his file was sent to ottawa.
