"Question 12 Indicate the residential addresses where you have lived since your 18th birthday or the past 10 years, whichever is most recent, complete with the postal code. Do not use P.O. box addresses."

Question 8: I am not sure if it is necessary to mention a short visit to the US. It may not be necessary, but won't hurt to indicate travelling in the US. My impression is that this question is primarily intended to be about where people lived and worked, not where they had short vacations.

Hopefully someone else could share some wisdom on this question.

Yea, iam sponsor, i went to MP last month & the Representative called back after a wk.&informed me that he emailed visa office in Manila,visa office Manila told him that processing time is 65 mos. so I told him that it doesn't makes sense coz' the Passports will expired after 5 years and the medical is only good for a year, Why Visa Office requested the passport so early?! then He said that he will check it again after 3 months.. Hehe! I dont know if i spoke with the right guy (MP). Anyway, my ecas status under sponsor is Decision Made, and for under PR app status still Application Receiced.

Km21, when did Visa office requested ur passport and how long u've been waiting now for Visa?

Medical and pp request February 24,2014 and we submitted our pp april 7,2014.... Our sponsor went to Mp last September after a week MP informed us that The file is currently queued for background review. Our ecas changed to in process oct 2 and changed to DM oct 10 .. Usually VO manila requested the passport early .. When did the cic receive your application? Mine april 2010 ..

In other forum after DM 2-3 weeks they got their visa . If your ecas changed to DM well the long wait is over. By the way how many person did you sponsor?

My App was receveid Jan 2010 and im sponsoring my Parents and one sibling. I think we're both the same timeline, and same month summitted the Passports. Hoping my ecas will have a changes nextweek.. Did u call/email VO to follow-up ur App status?

The next thing we saw after sending in additional documents was about 4 months later: ECAS showed "decision made" with respect to the sponsorship application.

We sent in our additional documents in mid to late October, 2013. Received a letter acknowleding receipt of the additional documents in mid-December. Then sponsorship approval and file transfer in early February, 2014.


After the sponsorship application was approved, the next thing we saw on ECAS after medicals. At the end of June, 2014 received the medical request. Medicals were done in late July.

They posted "medical results received" in early August, 2014 - about 10 months after sending the additional documents.

Visa arrived today! I'm so happy! Yes Filipino ako. We sent an email to our VO bout sa ecas nmin bkt 1 and a half month na d p din nguupdate to medical result have been received and after a week ecas changed but d cla ngreply s email. Visa issued July 10,2014 pa. Bkt naun lng nila npadala? And db I told u n ng follow up kme s MP last sept. And sbi nila background check pa lang . So tingin ko malapit na din ung sa parents mo. 2 weeks nreceived nmin ung visa after DM. So hopefully mag DM n kau or makuha na visa ng parents mo kht d nguupdate s ecas. Pray lang po. Follow up ka din po sa VO para sure kc ung MP n nkausap mo prang d concerned s application nio. good luck and Godbless
