Hello,
I applied in April 2010. Additional docs request - August 2013, docs sent September 2013. AOR - October 2013.

I'm sort of stuck. Ecas showing Decision Made February 19 2014, but the Call Center says that it is an error that the sponsor's assessment is still in process and no letter mailed out yet.

your timeline is similar to mine as I applied in march 2010, you are one month after. I would suggest please wait for another three weeks and by then if you do not get an email or a mail, then request for GCMS notes.

i got my letter by email in Oct 2013 and it is 4 months since then and no further action. The only advantage I have is that I know that my processing office is Ottawa and not LVO.

The GCMS notes should state what stage your application is. I had also applied recently online and have to wait 30 days to get the details.

If you call the call center provide them your UCI number and he/she should be able to provide you the details. And if you had also submitted your parents consent along with the second set of application in august for you as appointed representative then also provide you parents UCI number to get their details too. Atleast this way they should be able to tell you which visa office the application has been sent to? If they are unable to tell it now, then my suggestion is wait 3 weeks and try calling them again and still no luck then order GCMS notes. that is the best option i can suggest. you have to be very polite and tactful with the call center reps and then they would be very nice with you in providing information, but even they only have access to very limited information.

One more question - in my profile, what should I write into Visa office? I only submitted my application July 2010 and still waiting for further communications - Should I write New Delhi, Mississauga OR Ottawa?

Leave it blank for now. That you will only able to find when you submit additional documents and then in second stage they forward your application to either CPP-Ottawa or to your local visa office.

Depending on where your parents are at this moment. If they are with you in Canada and have a valid athorization of stay for a year longer, you can write Ottawa as your proccessing centre otherwise your file will be sent to the local visa office.

I just cannot comprehend how the status could have been updated without entry into the case file itself!

I guess he is asking for profile on this forum not on the application form as he has not yet received any request to submit additional forms.

Medicals Done Today. And I didnt recieved repy from CHC ND regarding Med Requests to wrong email. I attached a letter explaining why I am 10 days past due of 60 day limit for submitting docs. Fingers Crossed.

Wt is ths time for 1 step in family sponser ...!! They change evey week 42 to 46 !!! Is it for only file before mY 2010 ...!!

For me it was around 42 months for the second stage, therefore the average is around 42-44 months as of now. Hope you get an email for second round.

Can you let me know if the medical request was sent to the sponsors email or to the person being sponsored's email id..Havent received the medical request since Dec 2013..

Our case was from 2009, but CPC-M took about 8-9 months after document package were sent to them.
We sent into in May 2012 and got Sponsorship approval in January 2013 and file transfer. It was a long wait.
We had dependent children of parents ( 18+ when applied, and over 22 when visa issued). Dependents were enrolled in Degree programs and studying continuously and dependent on parents. Visa office was Paris.

However, at visa office things moved quickly and file processed within 8 months, although website states several yrs processing time.
PA and dependents landed in Sept/2013.

Keep on top of your application through enquires via GCMS, or via your area's MP.
Ensure all updates of address with visa office.
