Our case is for parents and 3 dependents (2 were under 19 and 1 was 23). All of them have been studying since.

Hi Everyone,

I applied for my parents sponsorship on June 15 2010. Today I received an email from cpc-ctd-ottawa requesting documents for sponsor as well as applicant.

At the time when I applied in June 2010, My 2009 income was $43,500 and 2010 income was $63,300. As per MIR (Minimum income requirement) at that time, it was just LICO $41,198 for family of 2 + 2 (sponsored parents), (total 4) so I just qualified.

Now that MIR requirements has changed ( LICO + 30%), What numbers CIC will look at? Will they process my application according to the numbers in 2010 or todays numbers ? Also, We were 2 in family when we applied and now 4 (have 2 little ones now) + 2 (parents sponsored).

My application to sponsor was received August 2010. Today, I just received a letter from CPC Mississauga requesting documents from me (as sponsor) and from my mother as (principal applicant). I have to submit them within 90 days. Option C print out for the years 2010 and 2009 are requested from me.

I hope everybody who applied in 2010 will be awakened and get this letter soon I think you should start requesting for your Option c print outs.

Quick question.. did you notice the sequence of docs requested, it says 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, 10.. and same sequence on the back side. Is it just me and wondering if page is missing or there is an error in the document they sent.

It looks like all they are asking is Option C.. and imm008/dep from primary applicant, identity info, photos. Correct?

Yeah, i noticed that too. I think, we dont need the other docs that should have been in the missing numbers (4-7) coz they have mentioned to just follow the checklist they have provided and not from the specific visa office checklist. But it will be better to call cic to confirm.

Hi!

My parents had filed under family sponsor in August 2010. Today 30 th july2014 they got the letter from cic requesting for additional doc within 90 days. I was also a little confused because even in our ldocument checklist we have 4-7 missing! I thought it was mistake, but now I see other people also have the same thing. Did anyone confirm with cic regarding this.

Also my main concern is that my dad travelled to Ethiopia and Libya as an professor for 2-3 years. How do I get PCC from them. Can I go to the local embassy ? Do they help with PCC? Does anyone have any information on this topic. Unfortunately Libya is in conflict right now!! Plz suggest!! If any!!

I also have a question about the fees. I am not sure if all that is needed now is the right of permanent residence fees or something more. I remember I paid over a 1000 in 2010 but can't remember what was it for exactly. Can someone please verify? Thank you.

Don't worry! Everyone got the same checklist, no mistake! From 1 2 3 4 8 9 10 11! As for the ROPR fee , we have to pay it as indicated in the letter sent by cic. Otherwise they would not be able to process our application on time!!

But if u still have any doubt , plz cal up CIC!

The letter was addressed to Sponsor which I have received as the Sponsor.
