To be honest, CIC agents don't know anything. You will get new answer every time you call them.

I am going to submit a ATIP request to find out the processing criteria for the post July 2014 applications. In my case, i have only parents and no dependant. My parents are in Canada on Super Visa and their medicals are valid until June 2015 so no need medicals if they can process the application before June 2015

Are you sure that medicals done for super visa will also work for PR file? Isn't there a basic and a detailed medical depending on the type of visa/PR application?

My parents are in India while they wait for medical request. We were wondering instead of waiting endlessly for PR's medical request, what if they apply for super visa and come to Canada now and if they ever receive medical request within a year, we can use medicals done for super visa. Please share your thoughts,

My additional docs were received on Sept 16, 2014 and still waiting for sponsorship approval. I don't get what is the criteria to process the application as it is not based on the date documents submitted after July 31, 2014

A friend of mine sent his additional documents on Nov 10, 2014, got his Sponsorship approval on Feb 12 and Passport request on Feb 27. His parents sent the medicals with additional documents on Nov 10, 2014. No dependants

In our case too medical of my father was also completed on 9th August,2015 at Chandigarh for supervisa and now my father is in Canada and sponsor has been approved on 18thFeb 2015. Our PCC to stand expire on 22nd Feb2015 as it was issued on 23 August,2015. Wil you please share as to whether medical done for super visa is valid for 1 year, though the Doctor on panel of CIC in Chandigarh also informed my father in August that your medical is valid for 1 years but I have not encountered with any rules or notification which confirm validation of medical for 1 year. Would you also share as to whether PCC which was issued on 23 Aug,2015 and my father landed on supervisa on 1st Nov,2014 therefore PCC if required again will be from canada itself Waiting for sharing your expert opinion.

1) Medicals are valid for 1 year for sure.
2) my understanding is PCC are valid three months after the issue date. If you have already submitted the PCC to CIC within three months of issuance, you are good. Once submitted, it does not matter they expire or not

My personal opinion is medicals for SV should work for PR as well. I submitted medical receipts along with additional documents sent in Sept 2014. CIC should know it anyways as it is in their system

One does not have to wait to do medicals for Family PR application. You can do it anytime during the process. Risk is they will expire if visa is not issued within one year

The Online status not changed - Same application Received. Called CIC, same answer, 6 months from doc submitted ( almost done) and some say 6 months from AOR ... so no information from any side...

additional document request: July 2014
Document mailed: October 20, 2014
AOR received in mail: January 15 (dated December 30, 2014 on letter)
Sponsorship Approval: Still waiting(as per online status on march 09, 2014- application received )

Finally got AOR today...Now wait starts for approval and file transfer. Hopefully it will be fast now on

with in 4 to 6 months almost its done upto visa issuing as per previous members.
