I think after medical every files' time is different depends upon number of dependents also, Past Job history etc. For Military and police take longer time

I would say, request GCMS notes to better know, what is going on. After GCMS notes, i think good try to send reminder to Visa office

Got an email alert from Canada Post that, my Package is missorted and there would be delay

Talked Canada post two times, Customer service is not willing to help at all. Not able to tell when i will get my Package

Opened a Support ticket , never get a email for that. Called after 4 hours again, same answer, I would get email for Ticket in one hour. I never saw an email need a one hour to reach from one computer to another.

Very frustrating,... Every agency want to check Patience. Un believable

Supervisor are not there anymore, someone will call me tomorrow. My doubt it , agent lied

Hi Everyone,

Finally the day was yesterday,

Got Passport back from Ottawa and CanadaPost.

I know it was snow storm warning in Niagara falls and GTA. But i took a little risk, drove from Brampton to Niagara falls in the evening and completed PR process at Rainbow bridge, for my Mom.

CBSA officer, said she can not fly out of country until she got her PR card. PR card may take from 2 to 8 months. I think i heard 8 months.

Does has any one has any idea, if i can request CIC to expedite PR card process by showing, travel ticket ? . I heard people do that.

CBSA officer was not very helpful. No smile on face... But yes she at least congratulated my mom for PR. That is ok

BUT

My CIC account even shows You are Landed as PR on xx Day of 2017 at Rainbow bridge at Niagra falls.

So My CIC has more information than GCKey in this case..

Just make sure, you check you spam emails and folders, just in case.

How long after medical done did you get passport request. My parents sponsorship app is being processed at New Delhi visa office. It's been a long wait and still waiting.

I know, you don't wana hear that, In the beginning, i was also thinking the same, how come?

But reality is

Every file is different. Because of many reasons listed below

1. When you applied Which year? if you applied in 2016, your case may take maximum 3 years. My uncle aunt got PR in 14 Months. On the other hand, I had applied in 2010. Still waiting for PR to be stamped. Many people applied in 2011 already got landed and some are waiting. However new rules and esp new Govt after 2015 case are being processed faster
2. How you show your income, with T4 or self employed
3. Number of dependents in PR application. CIC take time to check education certs etc..
4. In which department Principal applicant (at PR file) was working. Background check, If it is Military or Police may take longer time as compared to person, not doing anything. For e.g. house wife
5. Travel history for PR applicant. If PR applicant traveled in another countries i think it takes longer to check

All above i have learned by reading post from other users here and from my experience for my application. Apart from that, I have no authenticated resource/information for all above
