After AOR if you have any dependent they will send you application to Ottawa, which the procees time is super fast and there is no waiting.
I submitted 2 applications in March 2010 (My parents and in-laws). my in-law's application sent to Ottawa and they already got their visa.
But My parents application sent to the local office in Ankara March 2014 and I didn't here anything from them yet.

Sorry I did not understand what you mean about parents and inlaws? You mean your parents had no dependent thats why thier case was sent to Local visa office and your inlaws- mother and father inkaw had dependents thats why thier case was processed here Ottawa?

I don't think the decision to send the file to Ottawa has to do with dependents. My mother in law's was processed in Ottawa with no dependents.

I agree with you, that once the file got to Ottawa it moved quickly. First applied in January 2010, and she landed last month.

Sent additional documents and forms October 1 and received the AOR today December 22. So, it takes 2 months and 22 days to receive AOR

you had to pick visa office outside canada which is responsible for your parents on application form. it is CIC which decides if it will send application to Ottawa or visa office in your home country. you cannot select ottawa yourself.

Now I am asking, Any cases from this thread who have chosen visa office from the home country, but CIC have sent to Ottawa for processing for step 2?

I send package to cic on 21 oct.but still didn't
get any aor.m in tension. share ur view who send in oct.

You will receive it sometimes in Mid January because I sent Oct 1 and receive AOR on Dec 22.

Did your online status change as well? What does it say

Under the sponsorship application status says "Decision Made". under Permanent Residence application status it says "Application received". no mention of medical yet.
