Hello everyone,

What are the test done during a medical ? If any one can wshare that would be much apapreciated.

My parent file was transferred to Ottawa on March 19, however have not heard back as yet.

If you have already done no, please provide your informaiton for the spreadsheet , so we can all view each other status and get an estimate ( hopefully)

Can you give me an idea how did the medical process go?
Who will forward the result to the immigration ? If it is us the candidate, I guess we will forward the result along with the other required/additional docs.

Nothing to worry abt security check as my mother was retired central govt servant I called her on supervisa She us with us for the last six months like u her application was submitted in Oct 2010 & approval in march2015 now medical in May 2015 she had to undergo medical again in Canada though her medical was done Oct 2014 in Delhi for SV. I hope u & soonihope will be getting medical advise

Thanks for sharing your experience. Is your file in Ottawa or India? I wonder why did they ask you for medical again if your SV medical was still withing 1 year validity. I have seen some other similar cases too. I believe supervisa medical is not same or detailed as Immigration medical and hence they are asking for a re-medical.

I am going to apply for visit visa OR Supervisa but cant decide on which one to choose.

If we apply for Supervisa and pay around $4000 for insurance, what if in between parents get their immigration or need to go back to India? Does that insurance goes to waste? Which insurance company you chose and how much did you pay?

Second option is to get upfront medical for my parents in India and then just apply for regular visit visa.

Once immigration is approved, Not sure if they can get their passports stamped here in Canada while they are here on visit or supervisa.

Hi JohnyTanggo,

My mom did the basic medical tests incl. urine, bp, blood test and xray and maybe other tests that will prove our applicants will not be a burden on gov't health budget. But she has to undergo 3-day sputum tests coz she had a scar on her lungs from 1976 lung problem. The panel physician will be the one to forward the results to CIC.

Hello to everyone,

I received a very confusing email from New Delhi which asks for the following in one email. My parents are Afghan and their principal residence is in Afghanistan currently visiting me in Canada.

I would greatly appreciate if you can share your experience if you have received a similar type of email and whether or not you did everything asked in this email

1. Application form IMM008 - I submitted this in Oct 2014 then received sponsorship approval
2. Schedule A - I submitted this in Oct 2014 then received sponsorship approval
3. Additional Family Information form IMM5406 - I submitted this in Oct 2014 then received sponsorship approval
4. Medical Examination - I have not submitted this yet. They indicated there is a letter in the email but there is nothing and the link doesn't work
5. Valid Email address
6. Original birth certificates establishing the relationship between you and your parents - I provided the copy in Oct 2014 - Plush they refer to Indian documents and we are not even from India
7. Parents marriage certificate - I provided this Oct 2014
8. Updated Police Clearance Certificates - I have not submitted this yet, but will do so soon
9. Copy of payment receipt for the Right of Permanent Residence Fee
10. 3 Updated Pictures for each person
11. Photocopy of original passports (Do not send your original passports at this time)
12. Complete the Non-Accompanying Adult Son/Daughter Additional Information Form - My parents have adult children who are not accompanying them to Canada, but they are not dependent, so I doubt we have to provide this.

Please provide some instructive feedback with your experience as to what really needs to be send to them because we have sent most of the items already. Also, I need to get the medical exam paper.

Congras MNZ. I was closly watching your case as my timelines are similar to yours. hopefully my SA will come soon as well.

Answering
1. You just have to book appointment with doctor who has eMecial system (call them and ask). They will have IMM1017B and can pull up your record by client ID. thats it.
2. Pay your fee online by using following link
