we r all happy by this good news. u rite vo works in batches i have read somewhere in NDVO who wrote someone in reply that files r accessed in batches. so i think this is turn for 2007 or previous years pple as many 2007 pple r getting updates now-a-days

i applied for caips on 27 june 2012, i got my caips on 27th of july 2012.My next BF'D was 29 june 2012 file was sent to PPS.
Except age marks each and everything was marked as O.
What ur mind says that now what will happen to me & when i will be able to get MR.
I m fsw may 2007 chc ibd applicant.

PSDEC,SELDEC etc everything is marked still O,at the time of application submission i attached ielts and every documents,,,,in dec 2008 they sent me c-50 interest letter in which they asked about continued interest.
Have u got caips?if yes then can u share the details.

Yes I have collected my caips one month back . As per my caips PSDEC 1 and SELDEC 0 . My all documents and IELTS checked and I have got 69 mark .

Q2. Am I affected by the FSW backlog elimination measures?
Now that the Budget Implementation Act (Bill C-38) has become law, CIC will terminate processing Federal Skilled Worker files if applicants:

•applied before February 27, 2008, and
•have not had a decision made by an immigration officer based on selection criteria before March 29, 2012. (information on selection criteria is below)
CIC expects this will affect around 280,000 people including dependants.

CIC will return fees paid to the Department, without interest, for applications that are eliminated under the provisions in Bill C-38. CIC is currently finalizing the fee return process, which will involve confirming up-to-date contact and payee information.

CIC has set up a central task force based in Ottawa to handle the fee return process. More details will be posted on this website as they become available.

A “decision based on selection criteria” means that an immigration officer:

•[flash=200,200]http://has assessed your FSW application against the points grid, and
•has made a decision on whether or not you meet the selection criteria of the program.
Currently, the pass mark is 67 points out of a grid worth 100 points. The grid considers the following:[/flash] •the person’s ability in English and/or French;
•their education;
•their work experience;
•their age;
•whether they have a job already arranged in Canada (arranged employment); and
•how well they might adapt to living in Canada (which awards points for things like previous work or study in Canada, spouse’s education and relatives in Canada).
If your application is successful, you would move to the next phase (i.e. admissibility). At that point you would be checked against health, security and criminality requirements before a final decision is made and a visa is issued or not.

If you do not score at least 67 on the FSW points grid, your application would be refused and CIC would inform you of the decision.


I don´t want to create false expectations but the fact that the pass mark is in the CAIPS NOTES even there is not a SELDEC 1 or SELDEC 4 is not enough for an applicant to be safe??? Please seniors help us out !!!

brother my VO is islamabad,file was transferred to chc london in jan2011,i m may 2007 applicant,NOC was 2231(civil engg technician and technologist),in dec 2008 i got C-50 interest letter in which they asked ab8 my continued interest to come to canada.

my BFD was in 2011 and after that no update on my file

from what I have read so far in this forum, the following VO have applicants in-process
India - 2004
Philippines - 2005
London - 2006/2007

past this year, the applicant can be part of the elimation bucket
