Dear all,

I worked in Saudi arabia between 2003 and 2004.. Former legal resident of Saudi Arabia.

The office in Warsaw is asking me to provide a police certificate from Saudi Arabia..

I contacted the saudi embassy in Amman where I live and they told me that they DO NOT issue such certificates and that I have to apply in person in Saudi Arabia,

I contacted the Canadian Embassy in Saudi to get the request letter, (because Saudi authoroties wont let me apply without it) and they told me that they dont issue such request for former residents...

so I am stuck in the middle!!! what can I do I explained that to the Canadian office in Warsaw and they kept saying that this requirement wont be waived...

Will thay reject my application after all these years because of a thing out of my hand..

Please advice me...............

Dear friends , is there any other one here with a disapperd address? please let me know

guys i need your advise please , as most of you already passed this stage

i'm currentely living in jordan and i'm going to the states for a 1 year course , so i'm afraid when they ask for a police certificate from my origional country i can get it easily from embassy in usa

but when the ask for jordans i have to go back to jordan..........

so is it true that if i do now a police certificate from jordan it will be ok (as it usually expires in 3 months) i heard that as long as i dont come back to jordan then even if its old it will be ok to submit it to embassy???

thanks

Hi All,

@theone: This has been raised before in several cases, from all the threads I read, the applicant always had to go to KSA for a 1 or 2 days visit just to get this paper, as per all the threads, you have to go in person for a visit to execute this issue.

@cooldoc80: As far as I know, police certificate serves for 6 momths (needs confirmation), do the police certificate anyway, and take it with you (delay it as much as you can without taking risk of not having it), and hope that if they request for it, they request for it before expiring.

Guys, regarding medicals and expected time, for 2005, some got it within(after update) 4 months, 5 months, 8 months (like 2 of my close friends), and some waited for a year and a little more, so I guess its gonna be the same for 2006 batch, no particular rule, each case is different.

BR

Hi,,

@ cooldoc80 : Police certificate from Jordan is valid for 1 year, so you dont have to worry.

@ Youskal : without a request letter from the Canadian embassy I cant proceed even if I go in person to KSA, my problem is that the candaian embassy in Riyadh refused to send such request to me as I am not a current resident.. so I am stuck

Hi dear,
;I live in some other country not my home country as well,, so I know the canadian embassy request. it is not something particular. I just took my update letter request( the printed emial from warsaw) and didn't say anything just told them I was planning to apply for a police certificate. they took a look at my file number and gave me a initially prepared form explaning a general information and request for such applicants. it's not under any particular applicants' name. it is just a general request letter that he got it from a batch of forms and gave it to me

ouff, I didnt know that KSA authorities required a request letter in order to issue police certificate for a former resident, do you think if you printed out the update letter and related CIC communincation and showed them to KSA police, would it be enought??? armintaba and others any suggestion?

theone, if you search the thread, I'm sure you will find the thread that I read before regarding this issue, maybe you can contact the person that has the same case as you, I'm sorry I don't remember his ID.

BR

to be honest, he said that canadian embassy didn't provide him with a letter and I know it is not a big deal but in this case I dont really know whether or not ministry of foreign affair in that country issues him a police certificate after a couple of years, anyway he needs to try his hardest to make it and i am certain there would be a solution about which we have poor data.good luck bro

This letter was sent to canadian embassy in KSA

Dear Sir,

The Visa section provides a Police clearance forms either by registered mail (takes around a 15 days to receive) or by Aramex (received the following day; but you will pay the cost of shipment).

Please provide us with which way you want us to send you the form, how many copies you need (only for you, wife and dependant over 18 years old if they are applying with you), your mailing address, contact number, as well as the country in which you are applying for immigration by email in order to receive your request.

Regards,

so
Theon dont mention to the embassy that you are out of KSA
give them the address of any of your friends or relatives their
after you receive the papers from Canadian embassy you have to get the stamp of ministry of saudi foreign affairs (any branch in ksa)

then take them to police depatment for finger prints
after receiving certificate you need to translate to English

i m 100% with troga. coz i m in Saudi and i did the same as troga mentioned

No need to panic.

CIC is updating.

This is about GCMS-

Operational Bulletin 263 –
February 8, 2011
Implementation of a New Mandatory Check in GCMS

Summary

Implementation of a mandatory check in the Global Case Management System (GCMS) database for citizenship applicants, effective immediately.

Issue

The purpose of this Operational Bulletin (OB) is to notify citizenship staff of a new mandatory check in GCMS and to provide instructions as to when during the application process this check is to occur. This OB forms part of the Citizenship Fraud Action Plan.

Background

As part of ongoing efforts to maintain program integrity, a mandatory Field Operations Support System (FOSS) check prior to referring citizenship grant applications to a judge for decision was implemented as of April 1, 2010. CP 6 Prohibitions was updated to include this new procedure.

As of November 10, 2010, approximately 4,000 GCMS and FOSS notes (Non-Computer Based Entry (NCB) 27 — Residency Obligation) have been entered for clients linked to a large scale fraud investigation or to a suspicious address. This exercise has reinforced the need for the entire GCMS record, including client and case notes, to be reviewed as part of a citizenship officer's analysis of the application.

GCMS as a tool in communicating adverse client information

With the deployment of GCMS to a growing number of offices in Canada and abroad, client and case notes will become the most effective method of communicating adverse client information across all lines of business. As per the GCMS User Guide, notes are freeflow text (explanations, rationales, observations, or comments) entered by users to record information which is not captured within specific fields elsewhere in GCMS.

Much like the NCBs in FOSS, notes entered in GCMS will serve as a point of reference for others who may encounter the client. As more offices move towards processing immigration applications through GCMS, information relevant to the processing of citizenship applications will be found throughout GCMS as well as FOSS.

Procedures

To further enhance our program integrity, a manual check of the GCMS record will become mandatory for all regions effective February 1, 2011. This check is to be performed when scheduling clients for a test and/or a hearing, when referring the file to a judge for decision, or when scheduling a client for a ceremony.

Currently, there may be some instances where the citizenship officer consults the electronic file for the first time after the judge has approved the application and the officer is ready to grant citizenship. A mandatory check of GCMS at the time of event scheduling and prior to sending the file to a judge for decision will ensure that applicants meet the requirements for citizenship and that citizenship judges are provided the most complete up-to-date information available to CIC in order to make their decision.

Since adverse information (whether it be concerning residence, criminality, or a client's permanent residence status) may be uncovered at any point throughout the citizenship application process, it is imperative that citizenship staff review the entire GCMS record any time work is done on a file. This electronic record forms an integral part of the client's file.

The notes in both GCMS and FOSS are meant to identify to officers that these are cases of concern. Where there is adverse information regarding addresses, officers must follow the directions in the instructions which were circulated on December 4, 2010, describing the role they play in investigating suspicious addresses. Where there is information regarding residence concerns, officers must treat the case as per Appendix A of CP 5. Where there is information regarding criminality or permanent residence status, officers must follow existing procedures as outlined in CP 5.

my address is not bck yet, there is always something worrying in this

This is important info shading the light on a fact that its not easy anymore for ppl that uses fraud in order to get citizenship, but how much impact on immigration application, does this upgrade include us?(not mentioned), in addition, does this new update/procedure delay our applications, how hard is it for them to send medicals, isn't 7 or 8 months enough for background checks?

Guys plz keep checking other threads for 2006 applicants and there news, and keep us updated about yours....thx
