Hi Roop,

Nice to c u here in this forum. My friend (April, 2005 applicant) had also got UL in Nov 2008 and had sent documents in Jan 2009, but he is also still waiting. On the other hand, some 2003 and 2004 applicants also have not yet recd any medicals. I think there is BIG backlog in 2003 and 2004 cases when CIC had reduced the points to 67.

Hi guys
I had also applied in November 2004 & sent updated documents in january 2009, and i have also not received any response from CHC, i am a marine engineer & visited a no. of countries during my career , i thought delay in my case might be due to their checking my status in those countries.
What about you, which profession are you in, can we enquire CHC new delhi about status of our application?

Dear Charninder,
As per my knowledge, most of 2003 cases are cleared. Only some critical cases are pending. 2004 applicants are getting medicals these days.

Yes frriend, I have applied in 2004 through an agency and received the file number in 2005. Between these years I have updated my file with different docs.

Hi all 2005 hopeful.

Am a Nigerian .Sorry to have joined the thread but i just couldn't resist cos we have things in common.Hopefully things will move faster thing year,most of the delay is peculiar with developing country like ours but we will not give up.Let keep the +ve spirit.

Hi Everyone,

Just got reply to my mail that ;my File has been sent to Sydney for pre-assessment and that they will contact me.I seem not to understand what that statement means.I had replied requesting for a clearer understanding.After given a file number since 2005,why would a pre-asessment be needed again.

Dear Ig,
Welcome to this thread.
When CHC receive any application, they would assign a file no to it. After that, your file remains in queue. Still your file is not assessed for any thing. Then, after some years, they would send UL and then based on the updated information they assess your case.
I guess pre assesment might be of same thing.

Hello all members of 2005

As you know I am also an applicant of 2005 year I sent my updates in Jan 2009.
Recent I met with a Consultant who had advised me to change my case in Fast Track. But If I change my file in 2010 how many months will take to finalize my application. Is this the right time to take this decision.
Can anyone tell me how long 2005 applicants will have to wait for their Medicals. Any idea?

I personally do not have an idea when medicals will be requested.We are in the same boat and we must keep the alive.
