20 hrs work per week

Hi All

Am an international student and i was told i can work for 20 hrs part time for a week with my student permit. Am working for a
marketing research company. I will have work only if the company finds a project. My job in this company cannot be constant 20 hrs every week as the company merely depends on the project it gets.

My questions are, if i did not work for one week in a month can i compensate that 20 hrs in the next consecutive week?

Will there be any problem when i apply for my PR?

1. You can only work for 20 hours in a week, you can't add up the hours you didn't work in one week and work 40 hours the next week.
2. Yes, if you work more than the 20 hours, you could find yourself in trouble even before you got to the applying for PR stage.

Works if the company is willing to adjust your pay hours. Pay cheque of 20 hours.
