2 valid closed work permits at the same time?

Is this doable? I've gotten some conflicting reports online and I am wondering if it is possible to hold a valid one (until June 2020) and apply for another from a new employer without giving the other one up?

Hello,

It would make sense that you can work for 2 employers.
There is nothing on CIC website but this immigration website mentions it:
https://immigrationcanada.pro/immigrate/holding-multiple-canadian-work-permits-time/

Also, people on this forum have been holding several work permits (up to 3) at the same time.
You could always call CIC to clarify.
