2 months 2 weeks since passport has been sent to new delhi

hi!!
i am fine, hoping the same from yu guys...
my e-cas got updated somewhere late in the evening yesterday,,, my husband says so.. i didn open the site yest...
my visa got stamped on 14 april, wuz posted on 16th and i got it on 19th....

actually jus last week, v were getting really worried with this waiting , and wuz so long after sending the passport, my hubby contacted his mp's office, and they were so obliging , they responded immediately, and said they ll look into the matter, and they told my hubby, tht an inquiry from mp's office ll not delay the process.. and it ll actually help in a good way... it wuz last friday, and this monday i got the visa itself... so hubby informed them...

My ecas updated yesterday to "In Process" even though our file was transferred to Delhi on March 24.
It took little longer than I expected...

Is this means they just received the application in ND, My case is very straight forward and should not take that long...

yu click on the "in process" thing and see, they wud ve mentioned wen they started processing.... did yu get yur ppr?
in the other forum, one person, got his ppr after 1 month, coz of postal delay... thts really a lot of waste of time and patience testing...
did yu send them any mail?

I haven't send them any email yet but I am thinking to send them an email and request them to communicate via email.Do you had to put any sticker or anything when you submitted your passport? I am just wondering how we will send a passport if they request through email.

When I click on "In Process" its say we started working on your application on April 19,2010. Its been about close to month my file has been transferred to ND and they just started working on it now?? This is really pissing me off..

I didn't understand every thing you said about MP thing, I will appreciate if you explain little further. If this thing little longer I don't mind knocking my MP door...

Also which part of India you are in, I am just trying to estimate posting time from ND to my wife residence which is Pune.

hey calgary flames,

they usually ask yu to send three things in the firdt letter, two of which yu wud ve already submitted,
a) passports, -new one and any old/expired ones... i had one old one, with my maiden name, then got name chnge after marriage, so got the new one..on the old one i put a label saying old passport with maiden name (cancelled). thts all
b) they ll ask yu to submit pcc if not already submitted... dont get panicky. i am sure yu wud ve sent it, so jus send a photocopy if yu ve..
c) payment of your right of permanent resident fee( rprf)-landing fee receipt to office in mississauga by yur sponsor, if not already paid... so yu ve already paid i suppose, jus send the copy of the receipt...

these r the things they ask in their first letter, well DONT SEND THEM ANYTHING UNLESS THEY ASK YU FOR IT...
most of us send it thru blue dart, coz only they carry passports... don send via speed post, coz someone in this forum lost the passport in speed post...

well if they ve started working on it now then yu ve no other go but to wait... yu cant send them an email now... they ll ask for yur ppr soon... ve patience, tht is all tht ll work.. i kno its a torture... but no other go for now... they must ve lot of cases to clear so may be the delay, if yu ve sent ample proof bout things, then yu ll get yur visa by a month, inshaallah...

bout the mp thing,
my hubby contacted them coz it wuz close to 3 months since my passport wuz held.. so... but i dont think yu should be doin tht right away, as yur case has jus started processing...
the mp's office said, they ll contact the embassy, and ask wots happening, and so tht way my file wud be looked at in a good way, and wudnt harm the processing time... thts all..

if yur processing has started now, yu plz wait ... i am sure yu ll get yur ppr by next week...
last time i said the same too, i kno, but i didn kno they had not started processing yur file... its jus 3 days now, so ve patience...

i am from mysore, karnataka..
it took 4 days register post, with one sunday in b/w...

i know this is a horrible phase, waiting to reunite with yur spouse and all but nothing much v can do other than wait...

oh yea, i prepared a cover letter too... while sending the requested documents.. in their first letter they wud ve mentioned yur file number, which yu ve to mention in yur cover letter each time yu send them the documents... dont forget to do tht... be very careful while sending stuff, make sure yu make no mistakes, any mistake can cost yu time, ask me how it feels,... ask yur wife to scan the letter they send her and e-mail it to yu... so yu can guide her better... on phone if she reads out the letter , yu might miss out things...

ve patience... all will be fine.. i am sure she ll join yu very soon, inshaallah.

forgot to mention, my hubby contacted the mp's office, but before they started investigating my case(they were gonna start this monday) i already had the visa... so then hubby informed them....
