No. Besides the answer I got to my web form, saying they won’t answer anything because they are prioritizing Afghan refugees. Dead end. Can’t do anything anymore. Tried with MP, web form, client portal support… Nothing worked. I’ll try to call them on Monday, but I don’t have high hopes.Any updates anyone?
Since March??? Wow….Everything passed and Final decision approved since March 2021, nothing happened since then...
So, wanted to tell you this. My friend and I both applied PR at same time AOR: 15th April, 2021. He got eCOPR in 2 months, but never got portal email, in his eCOPR it said to mail picture to this and this address to get PR cardHi everyone,
I'm kind of desperate right now, it's been more than 50 days since my application was approved (June 30th), and according to my GCMS it's also been transferred to my local VO (Hamilton), BUT: No portal email so far
I know I'm not the only one, @eddieeeeeelyx is in an even worse situation.
I've noticed that it's not quite common for applicants to wait that long just for the first portal email. Generally, the longest wait after the approval seems to be for the credentials email, and the next steps...
1. My local MP has asked for a status update from IRCC, and of course, their answer is completely useless, they just repeated what I already knew, without addressing my concern.
2. I've sent an email to IRCC.ClientPortal-PortailClient.IRCC@cic.gc.ca asking if there was a technical issue, still waiting for an answer.
3. I've raised a web form today, asking for clarification, and I don't expect an answer before next week.
4. The cic.gc.ca domain is whitelisted in my email client, and I have received every communication so far, so there is no possibility that it went to the spam folder.
Is there anything that I can do? It really seems odd, like if my application was lost/forgotten somewhere. Would hiring a lawyer help?
Has anyone here had to wait for a longer than normal time to get the first portal email after approval?
I just don't know how much I should wait before trying to do something other than contacting them and getting their bs answers every time.
primary office: CPC-OttawaSince March??? Wow….
Do you know your local VO?
Thanks for the info. I've seen some similar cases here and there, but I can't understand how they chose who'll have to go through the landing portal for eCOPR and who will receive it directly... Do you think it depends on the local VO? Considering how long has been the wait so far since approval, my guess is that I'll be in the group that doesn't go through the portal. But it seems like the option that takes most time...So, wanted to tell you this. My friend and I both applied PR at same time AOR: 15th April, 2021. Well, I can only wish us all to receive eCOPR soon.... It's really unfair when you see so many people getting their portal email the same day or several days after approval. And on the other side, we can't even get info why it's taking so long....primary office: CPC-Ottawa
Secondary Office: Home Country
And lot of people in the same situation
Whether or not through portal get the eCOPR depends on where you lives. From my situation, the local ircc doesn't use portal but phone call landing me,so when I hang up I get the eCOPR in my ircc account the next day.I know some ircc will use portal, etc. Vancouver,Etobicoke,Ottawa,Calgary,Edmonton. If you live near these city, you will get portal. Thanks for the info. Thanks! Apparently my local VO is not using the portal system :/ How long did you wait for that call after your application was approved?Whether or not through portal get the eCOPR depends on where you lives.
If your case in Hamilton of the local IRCC office, they will call you to complete landing. This is my time line:Thanks! Apparently my local VO is not using the portal system :/ How long did you wait for that call after your application was approved?
I can see that for you it was pretty fast. You had to wait only several days for the call, after the approval. I’m waiting since June 30th… Thanks anyway, now I know there’s no point in waiting for a portal email from them, I’ll probably get a call. But who knows when…If your case in Hamilton of the local IRCC office, they will call you to complete landing. This is my time line:
