Hi everyone... :)

I'm a naturalised Canadian citizen who recently got married to an Indonesian woman, and I am in the process of sponsoring her to Canada. One of the sponsor forms, IMM 1344: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM1344E.PDF

has question 7 that asks "If you are a permanent resident or a naturalized Canadian citizen, provide the following information: a) Date on which you obtained this status, b) UCI/client ID"

So...my first landing as a permanent resident was in 1999. Now I'm looking at my record of landing, and I can't seem to find my UCI/client ID? I am aware that the format is 0000-0000, but I can't find anything like that on it.

On the top right is an ID that has such a format: BXXXXXXXXX (9 Xs in total, all numbers). Under that it says "[ KLT ]"

On the bottom right, it says WYYY YYY YYY (9 Ys in total, all numbers too, different from the ones on top left).

Thoughts...?

Client ID/UCI is an eight digit number. It is sometimes written with a Hyphen also. So look for a number in the following format

nnnn-nnnn or nnnnnnnn or nnnn nnnn

I was in the same situation. On the form I just typed 8 zeros so that the form could be validated. And on a separate sheet I wrote an explanation that I wasn't able to locate the UCI number. I also made a photocopy of my landing paper and included it with the application. No problems they gave me the UCI when I got my AOR1.

Did you check your passport. In the passport look on the page where your PR visa was stamped

It is also written on the PR Card as ID No.

There was no UCI/Client ID in 1999.

I just checked my Landing paper issued to me in 2002.On the right top I see a number starting with BXXXXXXXXX and right below it I have my UCI number (8 digit) the same number they issued to me when I applied for my spouse PR. This UCI number is just above Given Names and Below the BXXXXXXXXXX number...

NOTE : I was not sure about the UCI number when I was applying. So i left that blank and attached a copy of my 2002 Landing Paper. When I received my sponsor approval I saw the UCI number they issued to me and which I cross check with my landing paper and they used the same one...Good luck
