18 months of waiting... Is it normal?

hi guys
i have been waiting for more than 18 months
my file reached at cic on 6th feb 2014
medical done in march 2014
in process since aug 2014
and i had also applied for GCMS notes. I read that there is nothing wrong in my file.
i had sent e mail to cic before few weeks ago. they told me that my file was in sydney. its not in ottawa yet.
please let me know guys what should i do?

did the ottawa office got your file yet or its still in sydney? and did you call the cic before?? what did they say about where your file was at that time. because when i called cic they told me when the file got transfred to ottawa office.

for those with GCMS notes, what's the location of your application? Under "paper file history" there's something called "location"

it's been 17 months today. 17 months ago I thought I'd get PPR today then I saw people getting PPR 10 months after submission.
I'm on the road to reach 18+ plus months waiting.
