Hello Friends ,
BREAKING NEWS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I called up NOVA SCOTIA SERIVE CENTRE last friday. The agent , a lady informed me that they were still opening the FSW1 applications recd. on 6th July. So we will have to wait a little.I wonder what does this mean as many applicants from 7th , 8th july have got there c/c charged.
But there is no c/c or bank draft charge after 18th August in any NOC. So i presume there is something different happening. But for sure all 8th july applicants have a very good chance.

The no. is 0017329275433 and then follow the instructions till you end up talking to an agent. It will tak appx. 15-20 minutes to get to an agent.

As per policy stated in OP-6 (Operational Bulletin) or I have seen it somewhere (but can't remember), CIO Sydney will accept all applications on a particular date when the cut off has been reached. It is not dependent on time, so if (supposedly) 8th July 2011 was the cut off date for 1122, then all applications received on 8th July will be considered in the CAP & be eligible for processing. (Will post the link as soon as I find it !!)

I had also read this somewhere. You are correct. All applications recd. on same day will be considered in the cap.

It is stated in OP-6 Bulletin:

Page-12:
"In calculating the caps, the CIO will consider applications in the order of the date they are
received. Applications received on the same date will be considered for processing having regard
to routine office procedures."

What do they exactly mean by this (in blue)?

Since they cannot segregate the applications received on a particular date based on time (it is considered procedurally unfair), they give the benefit of a logical end of working day limit to consider the CAP. So 1122 may end up having 520-550 (or even more) applications actually being processed for eligibility !!

Does that mean all 8th July applicants have made it into the cap by virtue of their received date at CIO even if the count stands at 500. Then again that's against MI which puts limit of 500 on any single NOC.

Hi
I wonder i took u three days to post this.
So if they were opening 6th july applications than as u said that the cc of 8th july applications as some of them reported has been charged.
Now u r saying that 8th july application hold a good chance how r u so sure about it.
If i were u than I would have asked her that howcome they are updating the site till 22nd aug for the cap.
By the way some people were told that their application is being returned as the cap is full so what is the point o still opening the cap.
There is some major misguidance on this forum.

Yes, but only if 8th July 2011 (actually) was the cut off date !!

My application reached on 8th July.

No , My bd is not encashed till now. But i think they stopped processing any payments after 18th August ( as is shown in spreadsheet ) under any NOC.
They are now screening the applications and the payment encashemnt will start again in next 5-7 days.
What do you think guys ?

Satish7777, the process followed at CIO, Sydney is as:

1. Application is received.
2. Is opened & checked for completeness
3. If complete (all forms, documents etc.) then is it considered in the CAP
4. Incomplete applications are not considered in the CAP
5. Fees is encashed for complete applications
6. Application goes through eligibility
7. Either PER is issued or it is rejected (but rejection at this stage is still counted in the CAP).

Now, the time the site gets updated is at stage 3. Since they do not do everything the same day they receive the application their is considerable time passage between completeness check & receipt, so what you see on the website is data pertaining to application that have cleared the completeness check & not just received at CIO.

That being the reason the CAP updated on the website was shown somewhere in early August for 1122.

Hi
thanks for the information.
based on your information answer my these 2 questions.
1> If the en-cashment happens in the 5th step and between the 2 and 5th step there is considerable amount of time than if they are opening 6th july application on 2nd sept as mentioned thn how come 8th July applicants reported encashment long back.
2> Can the time between step 3 and step 5 be 45 days. and if yes that means all the data posted for all the NOC on the site is misrepresentation than why the CIO asks to keep a close eye on the cap up dation( if it is irrelevant)
And why it never happened last year.

Hi Yukon, if this is true, how come Priyavig that application was received on the 8th of July, got a reply that his/her application was sent back 'cause CAP reached?

I got also the same mail, but mine was received by CIO on the 13th of July..

Out of curiosity for those who sent their application prior to the 1st of July, so it was received by CIC on the 4th or 5th of July...
What date did you put on the forms when you signed?
The actual date ex 28th june, 30th june, or the 1st of July?
