Iam from El salvador, and the checklist corrresponding to our country didn´t say anything about proof of residence for Canadian relative!!! :o
It was only required proof of relationship and proof of citizenship of the relative...
Iam hoping this only applies to applications after the 18th of July ( since it wasn´t specified before and no all people apply through immigration agencies

Don't worry Iam from Peru and also in my VO checklist has not ask me for any proof of residence of my relatives in Canada, only the Citizenship card or a Canadian Passport, thats all, I think thats the same for latin americabn conutries.

My aplication was received on July14th, I am waiting for the charges on my CC, I am reading the topic and I just find 3 o 4 person who says the their fees has been encashed on July22 and July27...so what happen with the rest of us??? is anyone more with the charges alright?

I think we just have to wait. It has just been a month since the CIC started receiving applications. I think by the end of this week we will have more and more people reporting BD encashments or CC charges.

Yea dude, we are ok, I didn't send it either. Some European Visa offices also don't require that document, so don't worry. Everything will be all right.

Hay Ravi i really doubt that keeping in view the content of your postings.Grimreaper also felt you synonyms with pessimism. As my application has reached on 15th July so my boat is at back of you.So i need all the optimism of world in your postings. We will going to make it bro as its 2nd August and our applications reached CIO two weeks ago. :DThe current factual update till 29th july is reflecting (259) midway of cap.Analyse from this angle and you will notice that our boats will soon reached the shore safely.!!!!

Did u and grimreaper miss my postive thinking post...?

anyone here missed the cap last year? what will happen to the original docs you sent if the cap has been reached?

I missed it last year(quite possible this year as well ;D); my application completely was sent back by basic post and it will take anywhere between 2 to 4 months to get that back..

no email notification? the docs just showed up in your doorstep?

I had emailed them before that and they confirmed that mine has been sent back much before the kit reached me.

I missed last year too, since cap was reached, and two months later I received the whole application package at my house by regular mail from them.

so let's say 2months pass and still no encashment, most probably the application didn't make it to the cap and the docs on its way back to the applicant?
