Yeh. That make sence. Were u able to find out the number of complete application in the first month last year. Please share that also.
That data will be misleading, as the NOC 1122 appeared for the first time on 26th of June 2010 and nobody really knew about that before. Overall it took 4 months to complete the cap of 1000 last year. I cannot comprehend whether it is a possibility that a quota of 500 (half of last year) can get completed in 10 days(July 1 to 10 2011).

They definitely require proof of relations and proof of residency of relatives in Canada as this will give you additional points in your application, otherwise you wont get the points for adaptability..Those who filled with the help of consultants have known of this based on their experience with CIC applications. Im not quite sure if it is mentioned in detail in the VO requirements..
Manila Philippines V.O it was mentioned...

Indeed - last year for the first time supporting documents (IELTS results, university transcripts, work referneces etc) were required at the application stage rather than the visa office stage - so it took most people a couple of months to get those together and apply. Therefore the intake for July and August 2010 was exceptionally low.

It then took 2 further months to fill up a quota of 1000.

Therefore it wouldn't be unreasonable to expect a quota of 500 to fill up this year within one month, so 1122 could already be full or very nearly full.

Wayne,

Seriously, I'm expecting the quota to be full before this week ends.

Hello all,
I have been a silent reader until now.
I am more optimistic than most people here I think...

I have sent my application on 1122 on July 24th and it arrived in Nova-Scotia on July 29th.
It was sent by my immigration consultant so I have no idea who signed it from the CIC.
You can update your spreadsheet with this data.

I don't have a consultant, so I didn't know that. It is not mentioned on Vienna VO check list, so why should I send it? I sent everything that was mentioned, so why sending proof of residency if it wasn't required? First time I heard about that was here on this site two weeks ago.

Can CIO reject the file because I didn't send something that wasn't on the check list and it is on the new check list from 18th July?

Hi,

As of what I read on the other forum members who are claiming for adaptability point, they need to provide proof of residency (bills with canadian address, tax application, etc) from their relatives in Canada, it is a way for CIO to check if indeed their relative is residing in Canada upon application, some who weren't able to provide proof was not awarded with the adaptability points.. in case you don't need the adaptability points to pass then you are safe..still the decision is on the CIO officer who is reviewing your file..

Yes I understand that, but why the hell didn't they put it on Vienna VO check list if it is such important document? What does a bill with Canadian address mean? You can stay in the US for 7 months and the bills will keep coming to your house. If you use master card in the US, the bills will keep coming to your house in Canada, as you will come back after a while, right?

Can CIO officer make decision against Vienna VO check list?

Could the AOR that Ravi mean, the delivery receipt from DHL? As being received by the person in CIC? Its really quite preposterous for CIC to get to process his papers and issue AOR so early, when it should take 3-4 months for AOR to be issued, right?

Hey where did i come in between Mr. Brown Eye...?

Hay Ravi i really doubt that keeping in view the content of your postings.Grimreaper also felt you synonyms with pessimism. As my application has reached on 15th July so my boat is at back of you.So i need all the optimism of world in your postings. We will going to make it bro as its 2nd August and our applications reached CIO two weeks ago. :DThe current factual update till 29th july is reflecting (259) midway of cap.Analyse from this angle and you will notice that our boats will soon reached the shore safely.!!!!

Iam from El salvador, and the checklist corrresponding to our country didn´t say anything about proof of residence for Canadian relative!!! :o
It was only required proof of relationship and proof of citizenship of the relative...
Iam hoping this only applies to applications after the 18th of July ( since it wasn´t specified before and no all people apply through immigration agencies
