What a wonderful morning when you learn you CC limit just dropped by cad1400. In another situation I would freak out, but not today:-).

My CC was just charged with date 07/27.

FYI. I used my standard credit card with CitiBank and it went out smoothly.

Have a great day and sure yours will be charged soon.

Congratas man!!! I also used my Citi credit card... Hope they charge mine soon... Cheers!!!

People feeling a bit down, Here is some comparison that is hopeful and a couple of questions:

CIC announced few days ago that the Federal Immigrant Investor Program is now closed as 700 complete applications have been received at their Centralized Intake Office.

I just cant seem to understand that why another department of CIO (processing 1122) could be running so behind i.e. 7th July's application update on 27th? Is there any reason for that i don't know of? How is that Investor program application any simpler than the 1122 FS intake, which may explain that CIC haven't yet got to all 500 applications that people claim they may have already received ? I want to be realistic and need people to share their views.

As well the point where a chap mentioned that CC applications are faster than BD. Aren't BDs a guaranteed and assured mode of CAD payment and that it cant be cancelled without the original DD returned. Wont the CIC prefer that mode of payment against CC. If not, I am sure it is at least at the same level as a credit card mode of payment.

Your views are welcome!

Thanks,

My application delivered on 20th July.. so no chance????

I'm freaking mad at myself. I slipped out of the cap last year only to have the application delivered on 20th july this time. Mate, we're in the same boat, and my visa office is london too!

The point i tried make is, that 1122 updates seriously cant be that behind. That the CICs 27th july update i believe doesn't account applications only till 7th July, and they are a bit recent that our reading. But what the heck i know, i want people to share their views - particularly the ones who have had real experiences and know how many applications does the CIC churn out in a given period of time? And if i were to look at the timescales last year, when did the 500 mark was reached, and about how much increase in % applications are people anticipating this year?

A tentative calculation with that data could help. Good luck to all!

Cheers,

Hey grimreaper,

No, it can't be because there are still other applicants whose pack reached on 5th July but cc/bd not charged which could mean that they have not completed processing all the applications that were received on that day. Why did it take 21 days to send your application? You can check goodman's thread for people who are planning to apply after july 2011 and check out the spreadsheet.

not 21 days, sent on 12th remaining days used up by the great DHL from India to Halifax...

Hi Val_Kir,

Congratulations on your CC being charged. I just have a question. How many CAD did you authorize CIO to charge from your CC? I am just wondering how much citi bank is charging for their transaction apart from the exchange rates where applicable.

Thanks,
NKKD Hortons

hi harryc...very good observation and thoughtful fruit!....i also like to agree with u and remain hopeful that my app makes one of 500!

u r totally right, is investors app lot simpler than FSW...that CIC finished 700 check in just a week time and for FSW they are processing apps of July 5-7th on 27th....seems totally unrealistic to me....

looking forward for comments from seniors and those who have in some way calculated that CIC is evaluating apps of 5th-7th july now.....

HI Guys calculations based on CC/BD charge is merely assumptions. As according to CIO website 187 complete applications received till 27 july cant have such a big operational lag. They can easily state that till 7th july they had recieved 200 applications or more.Another point is that CIO is very cautious of tricky consultants and cant give them leverage to exploit new potential applicants on false hope of applications making within cap by displaying lower number.CIO can has a very rigorous process and they are sending pack of applications back on incomplete applications. So only truly complete applications are making the mark.Thats why my assesment is that website displays right number of applications or approximate.
So keep your fingers crossed and if you sent good applications with all required documents and pre requisites. The chances of your applicaion making within cap is high. Most of people and consultants give false hope to every one to come under 1122 because of its general nature and made their applications for minting money without realizing that whether their job experience fits to to it or not.Good Luck
