Hi all,

I wanted to wait for a bit longer like 1100 days but I'll be away from home to work in a middle of nowhere so I decided to mail in my application on August 22, 2014.

Do you guys have any idea there will be a problem to submit the application exactly 1,095 days. If so please share.

Thanks,

Thanks,
Rule says No Problem as long as u r accurate on your 1095 days calculation..

today i got my test and interview... i had 1097... she said "u r very close to basic requirements, it may cause a problem but i dont think so..."

Thanks for sharing!

Make sure you sign your application on the 1096th day. If you sign it on 1095 it means you only accumulated 1094 days and you applied on 1095 so you're 1 day short.

it will only cause a problem if you had a lot of travel and not as strong ties to Canada (ex. full-time job in Canada, etc).

i have seen people with strong ties and no travel getting RQ. Isn't CIC understaff and their time precious to work and investigate on factual applications not meeting residency requirement. I dont understand why people who meet everything get targeted. is it so hard to find if a person lives in canada or not.

Thanks guys for all advices!
I currently have casual/seasonal jobs not full time.

2011 absence 38 days visited parents home country.
2012 absence 40 days visited parents.
2013 no absences.
2014 14 days absences vacation in Cuba and Mexico.

However, will keep u guys posted its outcome once got any correspodant from CIC.

Thanks again!

I am very concerned as I have travelled a lot even though I had a full time job....I am creating a spreadsheet of all my travel date stamp. Is there anything else I need ttake with me...I was away for 76 days (on different occasions)..and sent the application 3 days after I completed 1095..is surrey office strict?

Hi give atleast 1-2 days extra, i got mine more than 1100 but on the day of the interview the interview told me that they deduct 1 day becuase my online calculation is wrong. So be careful you dont want to receive back your papers just for missing a day to two ;o) goodluck

I got 1105 days when I applied (July 2014). Came to Canada in 2008, got the PR in 2011. Never worked in Canada until today, still working remotely for my hometown company (my father owns the company). I got 6 months absence for medical reason after getting the PR and some few weeks to few months travel before getting the PR. I don't know if this will trigger an RQ. Anybody has similar experience?
