1- Don't buy anything new in Iran, unless you know that it will be used in Canada and also it should be cheaper than Canada.
2- Those belongings that you can not buy any where by money, like your photos, souvenirs, special memorials,...
3- Electronic devices which are expensive in nature and are adaptable to Canada's voltage (laptop, iphone, smart phone, ipad, mp3 players, cameras,...)
4- Depending on where you enter (i.e. a friends house, a hotel, rental furnished apartment,...), you may need a few cutleries and plates and bed sheets. If you have to bring them, choose the lightest ones. If you are going to a place like a hotel or friend's house, you will not need them.
5- The latest editions of your books which will be used in your future jobs or education. And some other books apecific to Iran like poetries, arts, etc.
6- Some decorative or non-decorative stuff which presents our Iranian culture. Don't think about selling them here. Their value can be appreciated by ourselves and your future non-Iranian friends.
7- Softwares: latest editions.
8- Audio CDs (or digital files) of your favourite Persian musics.
I can't recall anything else for now, but we can complete this list, if everybody cooperates.
