Sorry, I should have explained more clearly. I meant staying for 5 years, acquiring citizenship and then relocating temporarily to India - Then come back to Canada after 4-5 years.

But is tax really 40%? I tried doing something online with my research - took average tax, RRSP, rent, etc. and barely able to save anything even with $80k salary - what would be a recommended salary if say I am to settle in Toronto Downtown (Rent of $2k)?

If you want to do that, I would advise road travel (Have seen people flagpole). Haven't seen anyone do a flagpole via plane so far (others can correct me).
