Can immigration documents (visas, PR, etc.) be picked up at a land crossing at any time? The website says borders are open 24/7 (obviously), but I'm not sure if there special hours of operation for picking up residencies/visas that have been issued.

Correct dates: March 28: visa expires March 30: one-year work experience achieved.

I just realized the 2nd scenario doesn't work, because if her visa expires on the 28th, and her full year is achieved on the 31st, then she'll be shy 3 days. Her implied status, if she applied for a tourist visa, won't allow her to work during those 3 days. Am I correct? So confusing, this stuff!
