When it comes to the political institutions and politics, I'm not sure what I'm supposed to know. I'm in Toronto, and as far as I understand it, I have to know: * The division of power at the federal and provincial levels (executive branch, judiciary, etc.) * Role of the sovereign and Governor...

Hours of operation for Activating PR / visas at land border?

Can immigration documents (visas, PR, etc.) be picked up at a land crossing at any time? The website says borders are open 24/7 (obviously), but I'm not sure if there special hours of operation for picking up residencies/visas that have been issued.

Land border crossing visa pickup times

Can visas be picked up at a land crossing at any time? The website says borders are open 24/7 (obviously), but I'm not sure if there are 'visa offices' at the border that closer earlier or not.

thanks. I just want to know the processing time, that's all. The website says 8 to 13 weeks or something. But the registered organization through which the visa was applied for says a few weeks. Wanted to see if anyone who applied in March has received theirs or not, that's all. This is...

Bridging visa after EE 57th draw

which one year work experience? The foreign one or the Canadian one? The Canadian one is after she completed her studies. Not sure about the foreign one. As is stands (summarizing) : * she has one year of continuous foreign work experience. * visa expires March 28th, 2017 * started work In...

Bridging visa after EE 57th draw

Well, too late for that. It's silly, really. She started work March 30, 2016. Changed jobs mid-Oct, 2016. Just so that the dumb system allocated points correctly, she has to change her work period not from April-Oct and Nov-Current (which is actually not the case, since technically it's...

Thanks again. I've asked the same question on another thread that I started relating to a different matter. Maybe someone will know something different. Sigh.

Bridging visa after EE 57th draw

Thanks. Her problem is that * her working holiday visa expires on the 28th of March * She wanted to apply through the federal skilled worker program, but the system put her in CEC instead. That's because she didn't know she could've chosen her primary NOC code as the one that applied to her...

Why federal skilled worker not met, but CEC met?

Correct dates: March 28: visa expires March 30: one-year work experience achieved.

Why federal skilled worker not met, but CEC met?

I just realized the 2nd scenario doesn't work, because if her visa expires on the 28th, and her full year is achieved on the 31st, then she'll be shy 3 days. Her implied status, if she applied for a tourist visa, won't allow her to work during those 3 days. Am I correct? So confusing, this stuff!

Why federal skilled worker not met, but CEC met?

Correction: She will have her full year of canadian work experience I think on the 31st of March (a week from now). April 1, 2016 is when she started . Problem is that her work VISA expires on the 28th of March. So she can't really submit her application *after* her full canada work has been...
