Hi Scylla thanks for the snappy reply. Just wanted to say it's Grade 12 of secondary school if that makes a difference. Are the rules more relaxed in that case? Anyway, would a letter from the secondary school approving me to start a couple weeks later than usual allow me to join at that time...

My school opens on September 8th. If my study permit takes a bit long to process, and is scheduled to be done around mid September, would I be allowed to start school about 2 or 3 weeks later? Or do I HAVE to start school on the exact day it commences in order to have the permit approved?

If I am a 18 year old Highschool student, who's caregiver/guardian is currently a working temporary resident in canada would I still require a permit? Sorry I am a little confused.

Thanks for the info. Just two questions from what you have shown. You mentioned Minor Students at secondary level... Does this include students who have recently turned 18 and are still in Highschool? or are they immediately exempt from the day they reach that age, even if they're still in HS...

Apply for a study permit while I'm in the country? Currently I'm missing ONE out of all the requirements for a study permit, and can't really wait because I have various nagging time constraints, so I was wondering if travelling to Canada with a different visa, AND THEN applying for a study...
