Yes I did the test in Montreal office. My colleague got invitation today. He did the test almost one week before me and DM a few days after the test. He had applied before new rule, but I think it is not important in this step. His invitation is for 25th.

I don't think so because this step is the same for all QSW applicants. Lots of QSW applicants have never been in Canada before landing.

Not yet. But I think you will be notified by email even if you don't need visa, and you can't do anything based on your status in CIC website.
