How do you know yr security is not started. You are not be able to see it, are not you? My case in process since Sept ,26 , 2013 and security was started probably before Oct 16. Was your case assigned with a due date?

It's in the 2nd page, under the Application assignment section. You should definitely email them again or check your email in case CIC emails get filtered out. I do email them once in a while and they response within 1-5 business days.
