I got the COPR today! The visa was granted Feb 25 but the envelope was postmarked March 7th. But have a question that I am hoping someone will be able to answer. I have to land before April 16th and appointment at local CIC office will take 4 months I was told. So, it looks like my only option...

They got my passport on Feb 4. DM on Feb 26th but no passport yet. I'm in Canada so not sure if they sent it to my old US address by mistake, if the passport is lost in the mail, or if it it sitting around in LA. I have sent case specific inquiry to LA and emailed Ottawa but have not heard...

Thank you both for your responses. My worry was due to the fact that someone I know in Ontario got their passport and docs back in ten days from LA and someone else in about 14 days. I am beginning to see that these two instances may be exceptions rather than the rule. Fingers crossed.

Thank you for the quick reply. It's just that I have heard of people getting back their passports within 10-14 days of DM. I will try to sit tight for a few more days, I guess.
