    That is true. They are doing security checks from Canada for some countries. Does anyone know how long are they taking for this clearance? I applied in NY Canadian consulate 2 weeks ago and was told that my case is pending from Ottawa.

    New York in person visitor visa Application

    If everything is in shape, NY consulate asks u to come back next day. For some countries and cases, they email u next day if it is going to take longer.

    I applied for TRV at Canadian consulate in NYC 2 weeks ago. They told me that my case is pending clearance from Ottawa. Does anyone knows how long they are taking to get clearance back for Pakistanis who applied in USA?

    Ya I think there nothing you can do but to wait. I have also applied for TRV from NY consulate and waiting for the last 2 weeks.
