    Credit score as immigrant

Easiest way to start building up a credit score will be to get a prepaid / secure credit card with a low spending limit - $500 to $1000. Walk into any of the major banks and prepay $500 towards a secure card. Use the card frequently and pay off monthly in full. That should be all.

Good link! Another fun to read link will be of "Ronald Reagan", the US president for most of the 1980's, and how he broke the back of striking Union workers in 1981. Looks for "Reagan", "Strike", "PATCO" in Google. I do not think any more Unions dared to strike during the rest of his term! :)

Good questions. My 2 cents : 1) Toronto is NOT a province. Is not even the capital of the province that it is in - Ontario. Since you are a banker, the easiest way to explain will be that Toronto can most closely be compared to Mumbai. - Just like Mumbai, Toronto is the financial hub of...

Agreed on that count. Does the DMV in Ontario take the India license on it's face value? I know that DMV-NS does not do it, and you have to present supporting documents - Affidavit / Signed & stamped letter from your respective RTO in India declaring that this license is indeed genuine and...
