NOT KNOWING WHEN WE ARE GONNA GET OUR PASSPORTs, NOT KNOWING WHEN OUR LIFE IS GONNA START, NOT KNOWING WHEN OUR PARTNERS WILL BE HERE. IT SO DEPRESSING :-\

AUG 12 will be my 10 months and They are still not sending it. Whats the point of paying huge amount of $$ and they are not even doing there job. THEY SHOULD EVEN GIVE US A REFUND IF THEY DONT FINISH in given time frame.

Anniversary coming up and I dont know even know wether i should book air tickets for us or not. Been together since we are teen agers.. What else do they want from us??

CANADIAN CITIZENSHIP CARD IS NOT HELPING AT ALL..

I did mp inquiry as well. In June I was told that my spouse will get a remedical request. No request yet. I sent a case specific enquiry as well. No answer to that either. Now I have applied for the notes. Waiting for those now.

I went to my MP. Office told me words of wisdom after waiting for 16 months.... In visa processing from our experience "No news is Always Good news"....... They will inquire about my case.........

The official statement is about accepting arbitration http://www.tbs-sct.gc.ca/media/nr-cp/2013/0723-eng.asp no statement from PAFSO yet.

Yes the statement is about the acceptance of arbitration. Not that the strike has ended. So it'd be nice if people would stop spreading false news. The article clearly states that the job action will continue until an agreement is reached.

Thanks for the link by the way. :) appreciate it.

Statement by the Professional Association of Foreign Service Officers: Government's Response to Offer of Binding Arbitration
[Ottawa – July 23, 2013] Shortly before today’s noon deadline, PAFSO received a letter from the President of the Treasury Board responding to our offer of binding arbitration.
As he has stated publicly, Minister Clement has agreed to PAFSO’s offer of binding arbitration subject to “certain conditions”. PAFSO is reviewing these conditions and will follow up directly with the Treasury Board. PAFSO will need to assure itself that any arbitration mechanism allows for a full and fair hearing of arguments on both sides – an objective we are sure the Government shares.
PAFSO appreciates the Government’s attempt at finding a resolution to this dispute and remains hopeful that a responsible way forward can be agreed upon by both parties. Until agreement is reached, there will be no change in PAFSO’s job action measures.
PAFSO will update our members, the general public, and the media once we have more information to share.
