It was from the Buffalo address and they said that our documents were being prepared and should be sent today from the Buffalo office. Just thought I'd put it out there to let people know that their passports haven't been completely forgotten about.

Just a heads up, I sent an email to Buffalo through their website yesterday and got a response this morning, even though the email bounced yesterday when I sent it. So they must have people there tying up loose ends so to speak.

Just wondering if anyone's in the same boat, My husband submitted his passport May 9 and had his status updated online on Sunday to "decision made", any idea if the envelope will be slipped in the mail now, instead of being transferred to Ottawa and than shipped back to the USA?

Does anyone know if you can land (with your belongings and car, etc. all listed on your B4) and then return to the USA and export/import your car on another trip? Or do you have to export/import the car on the initially crossing? Any insight would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, all. Just an update, we got our passport request today. I had called my MP last Wednesday and he said that we would be finalized shortly, so maybe that had something to do with it. BTW, we're still "application received" on ecas.

You don't want the physical file, just the electronic one and if you're applying on behalf of your spouse or partner (as in they're the PA) you need them to file out the release of information form.

Anyone who has gotten GCMS notes resently, mind sharing your application assement due dates?

Does anyone know what the "application assignment due date" means on GCMS notes? I just got a copy of our notes and everything seems complete aside from application assessment, and e-case still says application received, even though the notes say that it's been in process since Decemeber 8th.

We're building a new condo, and don't take possession until September 2013 ... until then we're living with my parents and their exchange student. I think some days my husband hopes his PR takes the full 11 months, just so he doesn't have to share in the insanity.

The new forms came out in September. I only remember this because we had originally filed out the old forms, and then by the time we were ready to submit the new forms were out.

So just so y'all know. I called CIC this morning and our file was opened Wednesday and an approval e-mail was sent yesterday morning and our file was transferred yesterday afternoon. Best news I've heard in the past 75 days. Happy Friday :)
